Pros +
- Great place, at least when visiting off season. There were only two of us for 3 nights! All facilities, including swimming pool, become kinda private.
- The view is breathtaking
- The view and the breakfast. Especially the freshly made brioche
Cons -
- Rooms with the rice terraces view are quite noisy, sound from surrounding villages travels very well through all the water-filled fields. And the room is not really soundproof. Expect being waken up at 4am with loud prayers from nearby mosques.
- The restaurant, food is super expensive but also very unhealthy, too much oil or butter everywhere.

This place really is a hidden paradise. The facilities are immaculate for the most part. Very clean and very well maintained. The staff was great and accommodating.
Unfortunately we were served some undercooked food and did not realize it until a couple of bites in. I’m thankful that I did not get sick that could have easily have been the case. Our stay would have been a 10/10 if this didn’t happen. Only other complaint was that the bed was very hard.
The location was sooo beautiful and the rooms were nice. Staff was so friendly.
3:15am call to prayer every morning. The village below the hotel has a man who does the call to prayer and has some type of mission to make sure everyone wakes up at the hotel. The massive speakers are pointed directly at the hotel. If you stay in a room that overlooks the valley, good luck. The food was downright disgusting and with no where else to go, you are stuck. There are a few decent items but it was not good.
The resort is in a beautiful location amongst rice paddies, rainforest and a local village. There are stunning views and wildlife all around. We were upgraded to a better room and had an amazing view from our terrace. The staff were all fantastic and the balinese massage was great after a tiring hike on Ijen volcano. We would recommend staying at the resort for at least 3 nights to make the most of the facilities and surrounding area.
We are vegetarian and there were limited options available in the restaurant. It would be great to see more vegetarian options on the menu.
The gardens of the property are amazing! So well maintained and looked after! It is so beautiful. You have an amazing view on rice terraces and Mount Ijen.Buffet breakfast was great on day 1. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we asked to change rooms due to the presence of two huge geckos in our initial room. They were also very helpful when re-booking a taxi for us. (I think it was Nika). Location wise, you are about 45 mins by car from Mount Ijen.
Although it is beautiful, the rooms feel a bit neglected and not looked after. Frame missing above the bed. Some stains on bedsheets. Marks on walls. Be aware that you are in the middle of rice fields/jungle and that there are several ways for bugs to come in the rooms/villas. (openings in the bathrooms/ceilings). One day the breakfast was a good buffet, the next is was a very limited à la carte menu. The location is quite remote and limited access to other places for food if you don’t have a vehicle. Although it is no fault of the hotel, it’s remote location made it difficult to get taxis.
The setting of the hotel, and the way the rooms are scattered along the property. The lush green lawns, as well as the general surroundings. Helpful staff. The overall quality and cleanliness is acceptable keeping in view the remote location of the property.
We could not get a response from the operator over the intercom when we needed something from housekeeping, even though it was not even that late at night, but a Whatsapp request to the number given on tbe website did the trick. The retaurant on site has a reasonable menu and the food is ok. The location is not ideal; its far from the city center and also not very near to Mt Ijen.
Good view, nice staff, comfortable bed and room
The place, staff, room, amenities, food, view, smooth organisation of the trip to Ijen, I regret we stayed only one night :)
The only tiny downside is that terrific location is only reachable by taxi/ hotel shuttle.
This hotel is located in one of the most beautiful places in Indonesia. We had a fabulous upgraded room which overlooked pristine rice fields and three volcanoes.Breakfast was excellent and each morning there was more food than we could possibly eat.Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel grounds blend seamlessly with the surrounding countryside.
Finding the hotel is a little difficult as Google maps sends you on the wrong road.Luckily the locals were able to set us straight.
We spent 3 nights here in January 2025 and were kindly upgraded to a suite overlooking the mountains and rice paddy fields. The property is immaculately maintained and we found it a beautiful place to unwind after visiting the Ijen crater. The staff at Reception easily arranged transfers for us. We enjoyed our meals at their restaurant and the staff were charming. Highly recommend.
We would have loved a reading light by our bed but that's us being super fussy. The place is amazing as is.
The scenery ..
It is too far from everything. The bathroom was smelling of pee..The breakfast did not have a lot of options to choose from.Highly priced and still needed to buy water ?to drink considering we were there for five days.Didn’t enjoy the food much..
Beautiful and secluded. Great to relax and unwind.Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful especially the lady on the front desk that checked me in.
A little out of the way if you want to explore. But that is what I wanted.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The views and surroundings were breathtaking. Worth the stay for this alone. The breakfast options were generous.
The food in the restaurant was not great, but given the remoteness there is no choice. The dishes felt a bit too sweet or very far from what is advertised. I ordered a juice which tasted more dilute than squash.
Good breakfast.Location fantastic in amongst rice terraces under Mt Ijen and others. An effort to get to location but well worth it.Peace and serenity beneath the mountains beyond the chaos of the built up areas.Pool, top draw, gardens absolutely beautiful, whole place very well maintained.
Nothing to mention
The view's amazing, large hotel, many plants with rice field view, grass, flowers. Outdoor space. The room's big, with separate bathroom.
The room lightning's too gloomy for me. The bed's not comfortable for me. The food choice's limited. The TV didn't work at all. The location's far enough from the main road (apprx 20 minutes with small road for car).
This is really paradise!! One of the most beautiful places I have ever been! The villa was super nice and the view is simply paradise! Breakfast is really generous
The street to get there is quite narrow, but works out :) Food is good but little room for improvement ;)
Truly a hidden gem, stunning location with breathtaking views all around. Amazing staff
The approach road to the property can be better
Wonderful location, in the middle of the rice fields and mountains! The views are picture perfect! We got an upgrade, that was nice. Staff was very helpful with arranging our trip to the Ijen vulcano.
The food wasn’t very good. They told us there were vegan options, but the choice was very limited.
