Pros +

  • We have never written a negative review before but we felt that coralview has a lot to work on and our stay wasnt great. However, the staff were friendly, always said Bula when passing. The location was incredible for snorkelling- we were able to kayak to beaches and coral reefs.
  • Staff were ammazinggg and Nancy was all over it! The Coral out the front is BEAUTIFUL and it's close to the caves which was cool. It was lovely to see the ocean from our bure. Loved the weaving, coconut demo, Skipper and kayaking.

Cons -

  • Firstly, they have built a massive sea wall right in front of the main seating area where we ate, made up of sandbags and gravel, topped off by a cement mixer on top. We travelled past many resorts on our way here, and as a first impression it was not a nice sight. Secondly the food plan was $98 pp which didnt reflect in the quality or quantity on the plate, drinks werent cheap either. In our dorm we had limited fans one of which wasnt working and the rest you couldnt feel from your bed, so limited sleep. We left for a home stay 1km down shore of here, which was 1/4 the price, the food is miles better, the activities are more varied and much cheaper and the staff/ family really get involved, ie playing volleyball with us and inviting us to kava ceremonies. ( i asked three nights in a row at coralview if i could be involved in their kava sessions and had no response other than they were drinking it) leading to a better stay in one day than our whole time at coralview. If coralview were affordable we would say it would be a great budget stay but the value for money is very poor. However, they did mention renovations soon so hopefully it improves massively as it does have potential to be relatively nice (once they knock the sea wall down)
  • It's pretty run down but if you can have a giggle at it's budget white lotus vibes then this is the place for you. While we were there it was under renovations to restore it to its former glory. Maybe the option of warm water would have been nice.
