- I arrived before 8pm and the place was locked up. I rang the phone number and spoke to the lady and when I explained that they close at 9pm she abruptly hung up the phone. Minutes later she came to the door and opened the door. I gave my name and was told that they had no booking for me and had a number of booking online names on the wall but you were not one of them. One hour later we were still waiting for our room and I asked if we could have our room. I showed them my online booking and gave them all relevant information but they said that unless they can confirm my booking I was not getting a room. Eventually commonsense prevailed and I was given a room in which I paid for online. I was verbally abused by the persons at the hotel and will never stay at this place again. I am considering not using Booking.com if that is the service you provide
- No towels or soap. Aircon was rubbish
- Room was dirty.Linen was dirty.Room absolutely had a putrid smell.Fly screens busted.Broken chair outside Only 1 toilet paper roll for 4 people. Was expected to clean kitchen items and wipe and put away, no tea towels WiFi didn't workCouch was uncleanWe had to have the shower running 5 minutes before the hot water came on.Used towel left behind hanging on the arm of couch.Empty toilet roll laying behind the toilet pipe.I thought I'd be courteous and strip the bed and found 7 pillowcases on each pillow, so these owners just take them off one by one after each check out - yuk. Bedspreads were ancient and disgusting. The only good thing about it was the location. The garden and grounds were beautiful and well kept.Change the way you maintain the cleanliness of your rooms. I sat outside one morning and seen a dog come out with its owner. They checked out and another guest checked in a couple of hours later with their dog. Yuk. You allow animals sleeping in the rooms too. Yuk.

The motel needs an upgrade
The bed was too hard and the pool was dirty.
Location
Dead cockroaches, mouldy coach, leaking air con so bad we had to turn off all surrounding appliances and use a blanket from the bed to soak up the water throughout the night. The overall cleanliness off the place was appalling and the check in lady was rude whilst trying to up charge me $50 more than the listed price as she stated that was “internet prices” and “they are wrong”. I debated that booking.com is in fact a reputable website and I would go somewhere else if she did not honour my booking price from a reputable and trusted website. Overall, easily the worst motel/motor inn I have stayed with in my entire life. Avoid like the plague, unless you want to catch it.
Great service outstanding
Easy access parking great security lights in car park bays and out side rooms . And cctv
Comfortable room with all facilities needed for an overnight stay.
Located right next to a railway line. Throughout the night there were about four freight trains transporting sugarcane (l believe?) that blew their whistle at the train crossing as they passed the motel. Impossible to not be woken by this.
Quick and easy to access. Very ckean and tidy.
Wi-fi access
Very comfortable beds and lovely high pressured shower.
The Admin lady was very rude and abrupt
Only positive is you’re allowed dogs.
Unfriendly reception lady, rooms smell like cat pee, mould/stain on sheet.
Clean and the staff were so very friendly and welcoming! Felt bad arriving late but the lady was amazing and so helpful.
Was not the best spot to turn into when travelling north busy highway - had to pull off the road and wait for a suitable time to cross but that’s not their fault at all.
The venue was easy to find. The accommodation was much as I expected.
The manager couldn't find our booking when I first arrived. We asked for WiFi and the information we were given didn't work. The power points in the rom stopped working while we were getting breakfast ready which meant we couldn't finish preparing breakfast. The tooting from the passing trams was a little disturbing.
Nothing. Absolutely disgusting. The owner of the hotel is disgusting. Took the money for the booking twice off our card despite she having a PAID confirmation from booking.com
Everything. Disgusting.
Passable
It was right next door to train tracks. They were running every hour and blowing the horn. Got no sleep
Nothing about this place was nice.
Everything. The staff were not nice or friendly. The room was disgusting. The lounge was filthy, the microwave was dirty (buy a new one there cheap enough), the floor had a massive rip in it, the curtains dirty. My advice is never to stay here. They also don't accept some online booking sites. So, don't pay. Photos attached showing how dirty the place was. Very expensive also.
Location was the only real thing going for this hotel.
We wanted to leave one car and trailer in the parking area so the second car could take one of people staying to Mackay Hospital for his cancer treatment appointment. When we knocked on the door around lunch time, we were rudely told they were not open until 2pm and the door was shut in our face, without a chance to explain what we needed. The attitude was extremely rude. His appointment was at 2.30pm at the hospital. Unfortunately for us there was no where else to stay in Sarina or we would have. It was stressful enough driving from Millaa Millaa to Sarina (one member had just had his chemo treatment in Townsville and wasn't well) to pack up the brother and his belongings from where he was staying. But to be shoved out the door by a staff member/owner when all we wanted to do was to put the car and trailer into the parking area, was unacceptable.
Nothing very dirty and untidy the place needs a lot of work and a deep clean … showers and toilets were very dirty we had to use sandals to shower
The train line could not sleep very noisy trains go by like 4 times a night … people are very noisy at 5am … no consideration for people sleeping … the showers making a ticking sound and even the neighbours showers can be heard when we sleeping … the check in the people need to be more friend my and helpful even when you call they cut the call without even saying bye or help or how can I help … the bedding has stains and looks disgusting … I did not even take photos as it was bloody filthy … you guys should do a check
The bathroom could be better cleaned. General upkeep average.
Early morning rumbling of the cane trams!
Handy to highway.Clean rooms. Value for money
Property could do with some-updating in soft furnishings and crockery etc
Location good. With name of Tramway should have realized that cane train went by at all hours of the night. e.g 2 am.
The room was large enough. Fridge was dirty. Although had 2 bedrooms the sliding door between rooms did not block out noise. Stayed in July, no heating with aircon and only 1 thin blanket was supplied with each bed. No extras in room at all. So it was cold!. Foe $195 it was very poor. Would not recommend. The lady at reception could do with a lesson in smiling as well.
