Colonial Palms Motor Inn

The location was terrific - everything was within a short walkable distance. The staff members, especially the manager were so helpful and friendly! They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience staying at the hotel! ?

I really liked the place — the free breakfast was a nice touch. It’s in a great spot, close to town. The stay was simple but comfortable, and happy hour was lovely. The pool was beautiful, just a bit too cold for me.

We requested to stay an extra hour for our shuttle, but were refused, even though the room hadn’t been cleaned before we left. We had to wait in the heat and left feeling uncomfortable. A little more flexibility or customer service would have made a big difference. Most of the staff were lovely throughout our stay, but the receptionist on our final day was quite dismissive and standoffish, which left a disappointing last impression.

Breakfast was great. The accommodation was clean, the pool was clean and enjoyable.

The bathroom was dated and the towels were worn.

They have got 2 pools, when you have rooms at ground floor you can reach pool from your balcony doors. Stayed in family room it’s really good both for adults and kids. Got separate TVs in both the rooms. Got oven, kitchen utensils, mini fridge, dining table. Car parking facility is amazing, I parked just in front of my room.

Staff were exceptional. Food was great. Service was great. View and pool were very nice. Enjoyed my stay.

Ants all over the window sill. Didn't get in bc had the curtain shut, but gross. Noisy road nearby. Needs some work but think it's all doable.

Loved the size of the room, location is everything and it was tucked away but still close enough to walk to the main hive. Stunning view in both daylight and night

The main ceiling fan was broken but the aircon worked great. The tv in the bedroom was far too small and was not a smart tv so not able use Netflix etc

The restaurant and the Dinner was really good. The Room was clean and had nice view over the coast. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. Felt really welcome. Would absolutely stay there again.

The pool was beautiful, the old school charm was beautiful. The staff were absolutely lovely.The view was beautiful- really all around a very pleasant stay. We stay in Airlie a lot, and this was our first time at the Colonial. We will definitely be back

The rooms are quite tired, in particular the bathrooms

Continental Breakfast was value for money,plenty of variety, setting was good,would have been great except for the weather! Will definitely be back!

Basic equipment (microwave), room was clean. Ca. 10 minutes walk to Airlie Beach center. The staff was friendly, and we were allowed to enter our rooms before the official check-in time.

Good location, near the port, but not the town center. It's walkable. If you have a lot of luggage, you do need to drag them up a big hill.
