    Pros +

    • Appreciated the assistance with luggage by Brian , helpful map & 24/7 personal contact availability
    • Amazing and kind host, clean room with a beautiful view.
    • Amazing place I could risk saying it’s a forgotten paradise. Surrounded by nature, the room views are stunning, drop dead gorgeous. The owner is an amazing and kind person that will make absolutely everything in his power to make your stay comfortable and nice. The only thing to pay attention to: there’s absolutely nothing around to buy food, take supplies. There’s a fridge in the room, microwaves and kettle. Transportation is also an issue, if you got a car, perfect. Otherwise Ubers and buses are a bit complicated. I would recommend this place one million times, we really enjoyed the peace.

    Cons -

    • Noticed that water was running out of the plumbing connection outside the unit door
    • Logistics without a car
    • The furniture (and the whole place in fact) is definitely old and tired but functional. The fridge was a bit rusty inside. Better coffee facility (a coffee plunger) would have been nice as the nearest coffee shop is 10-15 km away.

The room (number 2) had a stunning view of the ocean and the islands. It was magic. The balcony was good to be able to sit down with a drink and enjoy the views. The room is comfortable enough (with a good aircon and fan) with a decent kitchenette. It's very quiet spot away from the buzz, which is good.

Friendly manager, amazing view, quiet location. Avoid the hustle of Airlie Beach for this gem of a location views and wildlife at your door. Uber to town is around $30

The property is of an older style, but has everything you need.

The room was really big and clean. The owner was very friendly and nice. The view from the room was spectacular.

The property is far from the city centre. If we didn’t have rent a car it would be really difficult.

My family dynamic was a little different and I appreciate the flexibility that our host had to accommodate for the visit from our two sons. I would not hesitate to return on upcoming visits whilst my boys remain living in Hamilton Island.

Wear and tear on the facility was evident perhaps warranting some updating at some stage.

The View and the cleanliness and the host hospitality

The location, a bit out of town

Self catering property. Fulfilled all of our needs, and was much cheaper than many other options in the area.

Although the room itself had everything we needed. The external aspects of the property itself was quite dated and in need of some TLC.

The owner/ caretaker was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was beautiful with great outlook.a very friendly cat who kept me company at times.Great stay :)

It was clean, functional and value for money.

The photos were creative and certainly didn't match reality.

Beautiful, tranquil location with stunning sea views to die for. Great if you want peace and quiet. Room was very well equipped with kettle, fridge, toaster and microwave.

But there was no shuttle bus into Airlie beach as advertised. The local bus is a 15 minute walk down a steep hill (and 20 minutes walk on the way back up) they don’t run that frequently or late at night. Taxis into Airlie beach are $Aus 40-50 one way. The owner was really friendly and gave us a lift. Also bring food and drinks as there is nowhere to buy anything. Sheets and blankets on the beds. It’s quite cold at night in the winter. Could have done with a quilt.

The location is spectacular. Very private, quiet, and the views are amazing. I was happy just sitting on the patio outside of our room because the views were so great, i could have sat there all day and night! It was pretty cool watching the cockatoos flying from tree to tree & eating coconuts! Looking up at the stars at night was really great. Brian was so friendly and he did such a great job replenishing our towels and sprucing up the room everyday. He deserves lots of credit for taking care of the whole place! We especially loved the bbq where we cooked up some delicious steak. The pool area was great and we were able to chill by the pool for a few hours with no one else around. We loved everything about our stay at the Coral Point Lodge! Cannot wait to go back!

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay.

Brian is an excellent host. Very clean and comfortable rooms with lovely view.

The location is a bit of a way to get to the ferry and bus stop to walk in the heat. Though Brian kindly dropped us off and picked us up

Nice accommodation with great views and exceptionally helpful and friendly host and staff, it has everything you need for relaxing and pleasant holidays

    Nothing, all good

    9BettinaPosted on: 11-27-2023

great views, friendly staff, nice and quiet

nothing really, it’s getting a little old perhaps, but we liked that.

    7DebraPosted on: 11-27-2023

The host Brian was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and had amazing views over the harbour. Being close to a National Park was great and there was a lovely walk close by that we would recommend. There were some lovely plants in the garden and palm trees that enhanced the view.

Some of the outside communal areas could do with a little extra work and a refresh but overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

    8StevePosted on: 11-15-2023

The views were absolutely incredible and the owners so helpful they went above and beyond.

We could have done with a car really as bit far out but it didn’t matter as two trips we booked dropped us back.. but taxis were thirty five dollars into airlie beach

    10LukePosted on: 11-9-2023

Beautiful view and location. Run by and I think owned by a super friendly and genuinely nice bloke called Brian (I’m pretty sure that’s his name) my wife and myself had such a relaxing holiday there and now will always stay there whenever we vacation to Airlie beach/Shute Harbour.

Only slight negative was the wifi wasn’t the greatest in the room we stayed in.

    Quiet location, nice views

No shopping or restaurants in walking distance but that is the trade-off for quiet location.
