    • The room. Too much light in the morning, especially for a family with kids. Overpriced for the standard of room. Too expensive.
    • No cooked breakfast
    • A standard three-star hotel priced like a four-star. The soaps provided in the room had such a terrible smell that it was impossible to shower with them.

The pool area is perfect and the pool very big. Food during the day was excellent!

Breakfast included was not really worth it. They should at least add eggs and bacon.

Excellent location, great breakfast and lovely staff.Particularly enjoyed the Sunday live music by the pool. We will definitely return.

The bathrooms are ready for an update and better doors.

We stayed at Coral Sea Resort recently and the location is absolutely superb with some of the best views you'll find anywhere.

Our room (210) had been recently renovated, but the bathroom was a letdown – the shower door leaked badly and there was noticeable dirt and grime around the door frames and skirting boards, which was quite off-putting.One of the most disappointing aspects was the misleading information on Booking.com. It states that a a breakfast is included, (normally when you see this it’s a full breakfast) but in reality, it's only a continental breakfast with very limited healthy options – particularly frustrating if you don’t eat carbs. Had we known this, we would have booked a different room option. The hotel manager was apologetic when we raised our concerns but unfortunately offered no compensation or solution, which left us feeling quite let down. This place has so much potential, but the lack of attention to detail and poor communication around what's actually included really soured the experience for us.

Definitely felt like a beautiful resort. The rooms were incredible and the housekeeping was ever better!! Always felt so clean and well maintained. Breakfast was only cereal, toast, fruit and yogurts. But we felt we still had lots of options and were satisfied. We enjoyed how early breakfast started especially as we are early risers. The pool and outdoor seating area is only for guests so it wasn’t ever over crowded, it was the perfect place to layback and relax. If you plan on doing activities everyday I would definitely stay somewhere cheaper as you really pay for the experience and facilitates, perfect for if you plan to lay out by the pool for a week! We would definitely come back!

The bed was rock hard and as a pregnant woman, it was hard on my hips at night! But truly that was all we didn’t like!

Location was brilliant, particularly for sunset. Rooms were modern and very clean. The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. Private jetty at the hotel was an added bonus.

Paid for breakfast to be included in price but a cooked breakfasted incurred an additional charge.

Great views, pool was clean, front desk reception staff were always kind.

Very understaffed in the bar area and the breakfast included wasn’t very good.

    10RasaPosted on: 4-25-2025

Excellent service at the front desk.Friendly & welcoming staff.Don’t know the name of receptionist - he made out day by providing early check in & explaining everything so patiently with a smile.Amazing gym facilities.

Water in shower not hot enough, but it was a hot weather so not a big deal.

Nice view and pool area, good location.

Breakfast hasn't got much variety. Eggs are charged separately. Small bed.

    4RodneyPosted on: 4-21-2025

Overall look of facility is very nice. Location is great.Pool and atmosphere was amazing.

Room was old. Very old rattly air con and ceiling fan. View was good.

    9OdilePosted on: 4-21-2025

It felt very luxurious and private. The location was fantastic. The ocean view from the room was exceptional and the staff were amazing.

There needs to be a better system with people not saying at the hotel using the sun beds by the pool. So many people came in to use the pool for the day and use the sun loungers which made it hard for actual guests paying to stay there to find a sun bed. The actual hotel could do with some upgrading - bathroom in our room needed upgrading, the jetty surface, the carpet throughout the common areas, the TVs in the bedrooms are very old and don’t have streaming facilities.

    9HannahPosted on: 4-20-2025

-room had a lovely view-modern, clean and very scenic

-food menus did not have much variety

    7JamayPosted on: 4-14-2025

The room and the ocean view was amazing

The service at the bar was slow and also pouring beers into a plastic cup was a bit of a let down

    8LynnePosted on: 4-14-2025

We really enjoyed our stay at the Coral Sea and found the staff went out of their way to be helpful, giving us an hour later on check-out among other things. It’s a stylish, contemporary hotel and the breakfast was good with an included barista coffee - not just filter. We walked along the seafront into the town and in search of lively family restaurants and found a good Asian one. The hotel restaurant is quite high end and may need booking. The decor was modern and stylish and we liked the fact there is a guest laundry for wet clothes after reef trips. It’s a restrained vibe rather than full of atmosphere but very restful with lovely pool beds and loungers and plenty of shade.

One simple change would make the experience better - providing drinking water in the room, with a bottle of spring or filtered water as so many hotels now do. The bathroom water is undrinkable (we checked and reception described it as highly chlorinated) and the only water on sale at reception so $6 for a tiny bottle. Minor niggles - our family room had no sockets by beds and no bedside lights - one bed had no light controls at all.
