Wollongbar Motel

The hotel is a little worn, however, it was very clean, the check in was smooth and easy. The hotel is centrally located easy walk into the town center, close to the solar train and many pubs and restaurants. There is a back gate that takes you straight to the beach, an easy walk to the town as well.

We had 3 nights here and it was great. Nothing really to dislike.

Location was excellent - away from the busy area, but an easy walk to town. Room was clean and well set out. Staff were friendly and helpful.Room was the best value in town pricewise (accommodation in Byron Bay is quite expensive) and facilities were better than expected.

Location is good: you get proximity to Byron Bay Interchange, main streets and direct access to the beach via a dedicated gate. If you stay in Byron Bay for quite a long time, that would be beneficial. The after-hours check-in process is smooth, and I really appreciate the staff for offering this option.

The price was too high, but it may be connected with the peak season.

The location is good as you can just walk to the beach and the shops but not too close that you can hear a lot of noise outside. The staff are helpful and accommodating. The room was big and comfortably house 4 people. Parking is good.

Our stay was short and sweet. I could not remember anything I didn't like.

Proximity to town centre and beach - both within a few minutes walk. Loved the fact that they had a small carton of milk in the fridge. No problem at all with getting extra towels. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet spot. Sponge, washing up liquid, tea towel and cloth all provided great shower. Loads of biscuits.

Having to pay for the washing machine. No parking place the first night of our 2 night stay as somebody took one of the spaces with a trailer despite the rules saying one space per letting which obviously was not enforced. Air conditioning unit did not work properly.

Super friendly staff, comfy fresh bed, no parties and direct access to the beach!

Excellent location to park the car and walk into the town. We appreciated the service from staff especially helping us to find an item we had left behind. Very comfortable beds and loved the shower.

Balcony is essentially just a walk way, pictures feel a little misleading. Sound proofing is bad, you can hear a lot on a morning and the curtains aren't the best so a lot of light comes in the room early on. Quite expensive

Fantastic location and great stay with access to the beach and they were great when we needed a late check out due to a cancelled snorkeling trip. Would definitely go back!

The location is just awesome! A couple of min mutes away from the centre and you can access to the beach through an internal gate! So convenient and fantastic! Honestly superb

Unfortunately the room on the ground floor do not have door they have windows so zero privacy if you do not use the curtains that make the room very dark.

So close to the beach with a direct path access. The kids loved the pool and surrounds. Short flat walk into Byrons main streets. Easy Parking and a great location.

On the lower floor this stay which was much more comfortable, staff obliged our request. They were very accommodating and let us check in early which we were so thankful for!

TV was maybe a little small and the sound inconsistent but that’s nothing.

It was in a great location. We were in walking distance everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed in the Family room, it was quite big with a separate bedroom. Everything was clean.Great value for money. Would choose to stay there again next time.

The staff were friendly, it was quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and shops.

Rooms could have new carpet, and the bathroom and kitchen renovations would make it seem better value for money.

Not the properties fault but 2 smokers staying in the middle of 2 non smokers was a bit difficult. Smoking facilities are out the front of each room so you can smoke, but just being conscious smoking guest didn’t feel like we could at our pleasure

Property was nice and close to town.

Property manager kept asking how many people were staying in the rooms when we only had 2 people staying in each room as advised and paid for. A friend turned up one day to say hi but lives in Byron and the manager asked us again. This is not enjoyable when you’re on holidays and trying to relax but being questioned all the time.
