Waves Hotel Byron Bay

Great location

Very young staff texted me pertinent information about entering the hotel that we required for entry while I was driving had they phoned instead they would have saved us 45 minutes of total confusion and stress trying seeing if they had a room for us

It was right next to the beach

It was dirty and there was glass on the floor that wasn’t cleaned up before we checked in.

Comfy bed and great location. Bad room view

I booked a room with a patio view from the pictures and it was for a wedding gift, it was on the ground floor with no view and really dark

We didn’t have breakfast - we did see some fruit and cakes on the table near reception but I don’t know if we could have it or it had to be paid for.

We were on the ground level and the room was across from a bar which was extremely noisy at night

Great location with convenience of car parking. Complementary coffee, pastries and fruit not mentioned and yet great for a quick breakfast.

Location room was beautiful unfortunately weather meant we could not enjoy the balconies.

Excellent location, large rooms (and clean!), drying rack for clothes and could rent beach gear (towels/chairs) which came in handy!

Location great, very near the main beach and easy to walk to the shops and cafes but also quiet as not on the main road. Spacious room. Comfy large bed. Great shower. Air con very effective.

Furniture was dated - I needed to work at the desk briefly and the chair and desk were old, chair not comfy and a bit of a dated feel to the main room.

Couldn’t fault it. The breakfast was perfect, maybe someYogurt. The beds were so comfortable! The staff were so friendly

Can’t get any closer to the beach. So central for town visits, even the kids walked themselves into town and back. Endless supply of beach towels and beautiful helpful staff. Boogie boards for the kids. Clean room every day.

Ours might have been an older room but dated decor.

Good location (easy walk to beaches and restaurants), good parking facilities, nice room, helpful staff.

Check-in closes at 7pm and then you have to call security. Trying to get in to the parking garage is a pain because the key point is below the level of a car window. Using elevators after hours requires a physical key in a keyhole. Very tight parking area. Breakfast was late one day and is generally pretty weak (basic pastries and coffee).
