Pros +
- Pet friendly, location and privacy. The greenery the pool being seconds away.
- It was a very beautiful property close to the ocean and the town and the house had all the appliances I would have needed!
- Good location, host was super friendly and nice, beautiful area and house was really pretty, good for an overnighter, loads of cool frogs that we saw around, having it rainy was nice to go to sleep too, made the stay feel authentic, parking was good
Cons -
- There was nothing i didn't like
- Lots and lots of cockroaches (8) that we caught and threw away, bed was dirty, partner had a bit of struggle getting to sleep because of this so we ended up leaving at 5AM so we could get back on the road, cockroaches were a really big bother
- Very pricey for the modest amenities and accomodation provided, would not suit budget or normal travellers. Noisy at night due to animals jumping on the roof, bed too stiff to sleep and bright lights during the day so hard to sleep unless you have eye shades.

Decent amenities, appliances, kitchen, toilet, furniture, pool and located in the rainforest so cool even in summer. Great location and plenty of parking. We received a warm welcome from the owner and a coffee on arrival. The room had appliances and amenities that we needed during our stay. Aircon in the room so can control temperature.

We met Deano at reception. He was a wealth of knowledge especially about traditional aboriginal foods etc. The cabins were a little dated however very clean annd comfortable and are starting to be refurbished. The pool was absolutely beautiful and the tranquility of being in the Rain forest was amazing. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. We will be back.
We loved staying here! Specially because the place is so pet friendly, his owner was extremely welcoming, and provided us with lot of options to consider about what to do because the weather was not great!. The vibe of the place is so nice, you really feel like you are in the middle of a rainforest. Beautiful, we'll definetely come.back :)
We stayed at the Rainforest Resort for three nights in January in a two-bedroom cabin. If you're looking to be surrounded by nature (bush turkeys, kookaburras, lizards and frogs etc) then this is the place to stay. The cabin itself had very comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning in each bedroom and good free Wi-Fi. We really appreciated the welcome with tea, coffee, milk and other condiments in the cabin. It was simple accommodation with all the essentials, including a communal-free washing machine and tumble dryer area. The dining and seating area was located in a screened patio area outside the cabin with no air conditioning, which was quite warm for us at the time of year. Therefore, we chose to eat out in the plethora of good restaurants less than 10 minutes drive away. Deano and the team made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and we felt that nothing was too much trouble for them. We would recommend this place for anyone looking for a simple but comfortable stay surrounded by nature
Pool was fantastic, lovely walk to the beach and Sulfalk Park. The cabin was very well appointed for a cabin and the surrounding bush and birds did make it feel like you are in a rainforest. My cabin was back from the road with pool view from the conservatory at the same time very private.
I loved my stay and will go back.
The pool and the communal kitchen either a BBQ were great addition. Enjoyed using both.
When we arrived rooms were ready but the host was waiting to see what unit another guest, who had not yet arrived, would select. The unit we did get had a very wet slippery floor when we entered. The bathroom area near the toilet near dried.
Rainforest Resort is an absolute gem hidden behind lush gardens. Phillip, the owner is friendly and accommodating and is working hard to bring the accommodations and facilities up to an excellent standard. The recently renovated pool is wonderful. What the resort lacks in terms of luxury is more than compensatedfor by the relaxed vibe and the exceptional location. My little dog and I felt the stresses leaving our bodies immediately after entering this glorious environment.
Pet friendly, close to beach and shops
I bit run down paint and mowing around unit would look nice, pool was out of order
This was our 4th stay at Rainforest Resort, we love the private bungalows and tranquil setting of the property. We were greeted on arrival by Deano who welcomed us and even remembered our dogs names which is a really nice touch that made us feel welcome and like family! Great location, short drive into town and short walk to park and beach. Great amenities, kitchenette with everything you need plus communal kitchen and laundry.
Nothing - its perfect!
Privacy, quietness, and true to the name - beautiful rainforest.
Very authentic natural vibe, right in the rainforest with beautiful birds. Private and spacious. Great location, easy access to everything. HOsts were so accommodating and responsive.
Some people have mentioned the pool is being renovated, this didn’t worry us
We loved the serenity and peacefulllness felt so relaxed
The pool was operating the grounds were a bit unkept no fresh towels
Close to very good cafes, pub, IGA. Exceptional and very helpful host.
We enjoyed the beach and the locals were friendly.
I had checked inside the kettle to boil the water. Jug was filled with ants inside.
Staff were friendly, beds were clean and comfortable. Villas are quite private from each other and we had lovely rainforest type views from our two apartments.
The pool and spa are currently being renovated which I wasnt aware of until check in, so these couldn't be used. Bathrooms are quite dated and I hate the shower curtains instead of doors.
Located away from the bustle and nestled amongst nature, this felt like a true getaway. The vibe is unpretentious and relaxed. The cabin had all basic necessities for cooking which is a bonus if you're on a budget. They had a great selection of teas and plunger coffee. The room was spacious. It was good to have a big smart TV for the evenings after being outside all day. The best part was undoubtedly that the resort is dog friendly, meaning that we were able to bring our cavoodle. There was a nice walk through the bush to the lake behind which is very scenic at dawn and dusk.
The downside was most definitely that the advertised pool was out of action,- completely empty and, according to staff, maybe not fixable. This was unexpected and not disclosed at time of booking. Also note that the resort charges extra per pet- up tp $60 per animal and this is charged outside of the Bookings.com platform. This isn't clear on Bookings. However, the positives most definitely outweigh these 2 factors. We loved our stay and are very grateful to the owners for offering a little sanctuary that people can enjoy with their pets and family.
