Cons -
- Booking included breakfast in the room rate but was then charged for breakfast in addition. Very poor form. Toilet wasn?t clean. Key didn?t open door and couldn?t be fixed.
- Tried to walk through rainforest walk at night. There was only lighting towards the accommodation not the rainforest walk

Tried to walk through rainforest walk at night. There was only lighting towards the accommodation not the rainforest walk

No best ever
Great location and really good facilities.
The only downside was the stainless steel flooring in the showers. It was very slippery due to the uneven surface, which caused the water to pool at the base instead of draining properly.
Quiet and peaceful, lots to do (pool, spacious rooms, gym, beach access)
Natural setting, size of room and beds, pool and restaurant.
The staff’s response to the power outage and 1 hour + noise of a fire alarm or the fire control room during that time. Funny thing is that this power outage and fire alarm issue happened on the same day 3 years ago when we stayed at the resort. It switched off the wifi and our connection to the network. We requested that our phone noise and tv network be fixed. They came in to fix it, we think but was still not right when we came back to our room.
Beautiful pool and dining facilities
Mattress and pillow comfort, especially fold out lounge
It’s in the most beautiful setting and everything is done to a v high standard
The Forest restaurant was v slow but the food was good when it came

Refreshing coffee and snacks
We were a family of three teenage boys and found the rooms spacious and tranquil. The a la carte breakfast choices were innovative and satisfying. We were truly able to unwind and felt no request was too great for the accomodating staff. The walk to Tallows Beach was heavenly and complimentary bikes were the way to get around busy Byron. My sons and husband also raved about the massages at the Day Spa - would highly recommend a stay here to friends.
only 4 bikes were operational when we were there so we could not all ride together. Other than this the stay was (according to my 15 yo son) perfection.
Great location, amazing staff who worked to make everything enjoyable. Great pool and the setting in the rainforest is unbeatable
Bed was not super comfy
Great bed and couch in the suite. Also love the outdoor space looking into the rainforest. Spa was great and pool facilities
The food at the restaurant was not up to par for what it cost and a hotel being 5 star, For a $60 steak you expect great not average. We also sat down for breakfast on another day and one of the staff forgot to put our order through. 45 minutes went by and as we watched everyone around us (arriving after us) get their food. It wasn’t until we pulled another waitress aside to ask where our food and coffees were. The girl looked at us puzzled like we were just being impatient and then found thee was no Oder for the table. They did not charge us for coffees but probably just need more experienced staff or train up younger staff esp on service. The breakfast itself was delicious.
(+) Beautiful heated pool and a great natural setting. We even saw wallabies on the property. Easy beach access, towels provided, and excellent yoga classes.
(-) There is no buffet breakfast service available.
We stayed in one of the rainforest villas. Very spacious and clean. Spa massage was excellent and the pool facilities top notch. Food and drink quality were great. Other than the sound of nature, it was a quiet and calm escape.
The food menu options including breakfast were a little limited. It’s an easy trip into Byron if you want some variety though.
Rooms were great, large and spacious with nice rainforest outlook. Staff were considerate and helpful.
There were stains on the sofa and blanket, which were eventually renewed on request. The checkout procedure did not present a tax invoice, one was promised by email but has not arrived (2 days later).
Nice resort in great location in Byron Bay. I stayed with my partner for a weekend & we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has lovely grounds and is nicely decorated. The pool bar was a perfect place to relax by the pool and enjoy a drink and swim. The breakfast at the restaurant was great too.
Great location just on the edge of town but within a 5 minute drive into town. Rain forest setting was lovely with wild life approaching very close to the room/secure verandah. Beautiful beach within a 15 minute walk through the nature trail in the forest. Excellent restaurant and generally very friendly staff.
Not enough shaded areas around the pool for the number of guests. No facilities that I was aware of for guests who wanted to spend the day on the beach ie folding chairs or sun brolly. Staff were all foreign, some with very limited English which caused some confusion when ordering.
The pool
The staff were great but the processing of orders was poor
We stayed as a family group for my Mum’s 70th, it was such a special week and we loved every minute! The staff are amazing, the food exceptions and facilities immaculate. We will definitely be back!
Nothing!
The pool, restaurant and entry are nice but not exceptional by any means and the rest is outdated and not worth the value particularly considering it is a 5 star resort
Value for money it was not at all worth it. The property is tired and dated and the room was not clean at all, dirty if I’m being honest. Compared to Elements (it’s competition) which is more affordable as well, it is far behind the mark.
