Tweed River Motel

The location was riverside & very peaceful. The staff & management were very friendly & helpful The continental breakkie was nice.

Price was great, especially as a basic breaky and wifi is included. Nice having a microwave, crockery and cutlery etc.

There were no hand towels.

The bed linen was clean

Motel was very “tired”. Needs a good clean and freshen up. The photos on the website did not reflect the room. It looked like a large family room with large veranda. It was much smaller. Furniture was old. Bathroom was very old and worn. Pool was in need of a new lining. Wouldn’t swim in it

Loved that it was dog friendly, and that the rooms were nicely appointed which can be rare for dog friendly rooms. (Call ahead to confirm if you are bringing dog). Pricing very fair too. Bed was comfy, great supply of crockery, appliances, and cleaning stuff. Room was also clean. We didn't try it but there was a popular seafood takeaway next door with a back deck overlooking the river. Liked the grassed area bordering the river, a great place to sit with a book and take in the scene.

We had a car so location was fine for us, but it is out of town a fair way. Did have one swim in the pool but it was quite cloudy and lots of bugs floating in top, put me off.

While it is a bit out of town it is right on the river with lovely views of it.

Seemed a little bit more run down than last time I was there.

Great host .. could not have been more helpful..and cheerful !Comfortable beds ,great showers.. fabulous balcony and view .What a hidden treasure !!We will definitely be back. Thank you Bob

Everything was great!

The staff were informative and engaging. The view, beautiful, the room was clean, well catered and comfortable. Although we didnt make use of the BBQ facilities and pool they too were clean and had everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.psThe petrol station next door is anything but a regular roadside servo, the fresh seafood is among the best in NSW ! The Chowder is a MUST !

Our stay was too short.

We had booked as we were going to the local horse races. Bob, the couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful owner, gave us a lift to the racecourse, helped us with entry....and recommended a terrific place for dinner just nearby !Our rooms overlooked the river, so we had a fabulous view from the roomy balcony's. The owners had thoughtfully positioned our rooms side by side with interconnecting balcony's. Full size refrigerators, great showers,very comfortable beds ,good quality towels and sheets..everything and much more than we could have expected from a 'budget' motel.We will definitely be back !!

Water pressure in the shower was extremely poor and was affected greatly by other rooms use of the water.The king size bed was two singles placed together however there was a big ridge in the middle making it incredibly uncomfortable to sleep as a couple

Jug of milk, bed was great Ns welcoming owner.

Cockroaches, silver fish, earwigs and ants.

Location was excellent and it was very comfortable and clean. Will stay there again.

No shampoo although that didn’t worry me as I had my own.

Having to leave...and forgeting that the most excellent pizza/fish n chip shop.next door closes early.

We loved the dog friendly attitude and the beautiful location.

The bathroom could be updated a bit.

We needed to stay another night, unfortunately the room we were staying in was already bookedKerry the Manager went out of her way to accommodate us she organised another room for us, and organised to have that room cleaned first so there wasn’t a big wait to transfer She was fabulous !!

Beautiful view from the room. Value for money. Overall enjoyed the stay

The aircon needed a service and there was some black stuff falling off on the bed. The bed covers had stains on them.
