Sundowner Hotel Motel

Clean, tidy facilities, and handy to local shops. It was a bonus to have the bar and restaurant next door.

We had two delicious meals at the restaurant - the staff and service were both excellent. One of the staff ran after me with my very important handbag which I had left behind. Appreciated!!

Good location and nice place. Room was clean and nice. Was very l good. Only the bugs in bathroom were an issue.

The only thing was in the bathroom, multiple bugs from the window over the floor. Including several live small cockroaches. But the main room was clean and good.

When I booked, it showed a picture of a newish looking room and with 3 beds. What we got was a downstairs room, no balcony and dusty benches. Outside our door was a view of someone’s washing from next door room to the fence and a dog chewing on a bird. Was disappointed as this was the first time we booked a place that was opposite to what was described. Also when we arrived and pressed the buzzer (atleast 3 times) we waited atleast 20mins. No apologies and no urgency only to then put us in a room that I didn’t expect to be in. Why didn’t I say anything? We were in hurry to get to an 80th and got back very late and again very tired and not in the mood to fuss over the room.

The air-conditioning did not work, the back sliding door did not have a fly screen so you could not leave the door open to cool the room. The fridge was hot and dead cockroach's through out the bathroom

The food incredible yummy the beds so comfortable,staff amazing people

Cheap and clean

Understaffed on arrival, apparently caused by multiple absences, so had to wait a while for our key

Location was good, bed was comfy and the air con was on we got to our room!

Bit run down, in need of a refurb

It was a great stop over as we were heading to Fraser Island. The conveyance of the hotel for dinner and drinks. I also left my pillows in the room and the staff set them aside and was able to pick up on my way home.

It was a central location for what we were doing. Close to a few difference shops

Wasn't very clean. Quite noisy and not very appealing. Non teaspoons for making coffee plus the cereal had been eaten by a mouse or cockroaches. There was no dish soap or cloth to wash cups or any tea towels.

We were driving from Sydney to rockhampton. This was the cheapest. We thought it would be a dodgy hwy motel. We were pleasantly surprised, kids were comfy, clean and tidy bathroom and kitchen, pub meal down stairs. Bethany looked after us so well. Will definitely stay again. Thanks heaps

Great place to stay, exceeded my expectations. Great value for money, kitchen and bathroom are a great size.

Only issue was the noise from people in their cars hooning at a ridiculous time in the morning.

The location and price

The room smelt of smoke and had to be aired for about hour . ...

The room was lovely and very comfortable. Good central location for what I needed. The person who checked me in was lovely. Only things missing in the room was I had no lamp and there were no instructions for ordering room service - downloaded the app but it seemed to only have options for ordering to a table or takeaway- not to the room?

There seemed to be a lot of early morning noise, which was unfortunate but I understand this can’t always be helped. The first morning there was some sort of power tool-sounding device at 5:45am

Microwave and fridge. Comfortable beds.

The crockery was dirty. The tea and coffee bowls had loose sugar and empty packets in the bottom of them. The bathroom was not clean. The plug in the sink did not work, and the tap dripped.
