Motel Sunshine Coast

It was the fun atmosphere at all times.the owner, was a pleasure to meet and interact with and there was great conversation to be had during and after dinner in the back garden area. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

We loved everything from the super friendly staff, from check inn to departure. Jess was super helpful, showed how to cook our (AUST DAY!) sausages in the communal kitchen Air Fryer. To think for $108 for a modern clean double room with A/C, smart TV and fridge, free onsite parking, shared bathroom, big back deck, next door to Woolies and a 10 min walk to Golden Beach. A lucky find on our Nations Long weekend Australia Day. A Gem on Golden Beach Caloundra for 1/3 of other Motels rates at peak holiday season. We will be back, for the layed back homely feel you get as you settle inn. Shared bathrooms / Laundry were modern clean and functional. We really liked the free Tea/Coffee in the communal kitchen. Two big fridges to store your food, as guests leave, they leave their excess treats in the Free Pantry, ie vegies, tin food, Wheetbix. I compared this Motel to a backpackers style with open plan living and shared areas, but you get your own room, no noisy parties here or drunken behavior, its safe clean, Cameras everywhere, onsite Night Manager doors close at 9pm. THE BEST VALUE IN CALOUNDRA at peak Holiday Season.

That we couldn't stay longer, it was booked out.

The location was good. Close to golden beach. 7 minute walk. The room was clean. Had a good size fridge and a bed was comfortable, good value for money.

Cooking facilities, washing machines

Homeless people etc non paying people using showers and bathrooms.

everything! though its a shared bathroom but over all excellent. i like the billiard the kitchen dinning lounge...

the parking area i think you need to expand it if how many rooms thats the one you provide because how about each of one sleep there and have a car so the space is not enough. also you dont hve rice cooker how about you have a filipino guest like us.

Did not like the property

Room was very small , no bathroom or toilet in the room Room smelt musky.

It has friendly staff and people that stay there and it is close to where I work. Most of all it is close to all you need as it is next door to Woolworths and close short walk to the beach.

Such tiny rooms ,no top sheets just doona that someone else slept with and so far to toilet for elderly people during night. Won’t ever stay there again

I didn't like anything about this motel, the aircon in the room is full of mould. The room smelt very musky. Doors constantly slamming through until the early morning, a very angry man swearing and banging on the walls throughout the night/morning.

A man with an ankle bracelet at the premises was very intimidating and made me feel very uncomfortable to the point where I decided to drive us home after staying 1 night. We was due to stay for 3 nights. I feel as though the motel should be informing guests of this and I still haven't had a reply from them to ask why I left after 1 night stay. If there's anything you can take from this review, Avoid at all costs

Didn't have breakfast there, just coffee.

We asked for a chair in our room and were given one.

Clean and tidy needed overnight stop off . Spoke to staff on phone very helpfull , rooms clean enough , shared kitchen, bathroom . Overall more for backpackers .

Ease of check in, out of normal hours, comfortable beds.

No kettle in room.

My son and I found our room a good size for what we needed and we were also very happy with all the facilities that were provided all the staff were very lovely and kind we made new friends with many other tourist we even did a little Easter egg hunt for my son who shares all his eggs with everyone that he saw ?????????

Clean convenient location for our purpose. Price was ok for one night.

Size of room, parking limited and noise from other patrons that left early in the morning.

Affordable hostel-style accommodation with the benefit of an individual room. Well located. Quiet and clean.

It appears that a few rooms are occupied on a more or less permanent basis, giving it a bit of a ‘halfway house’ feel.Very limited on-site staff attendance.Not suitable for those wanting the ‘vibe’ of a hostel.

Like: Excellent check in process, staff were very friendly kind and easy to talk to. Bed was comfortable. Bathrooms and communal areas were really clean.Dislike: Our room had mould on the back of the door and the ceiling, and the aircon also had black mould at the vent opening and on the outside of the unit - I understand there had been really wet weather on the coast the week prior so understand that may have contributed, weather was fine during our stay so we could leave the window open luckily. Seems like some long term guests staying which is fine by us but it did feel like we were out of place and just unwelcome entering their home. We arrived at night and certainly didn’t feel safe entering the property due to a person who seemed to be living in his van parked outside who seemed to be affected by illicit substances or perhaps poor mental health but his behaviour was frightening, erratic and unpredictable - we understand this isn’t the fault of the motel but does impact it. Hallway was unfortunately noisy, the sound curfews in our past stays were really well abided by but this time talking and music was played at all hours of the night as people walked down the hallway - some guests held a conversation with one at the top of the hallway and the other half way down the hallway at 6:30am so raised voices - if it’s their home, we understand they are very comfortable but it was really unfortunate and poor consideration for other guests.

Nice motel ie the facilities, they have microwave and laundry and a pool table and a good tv area. however they have people who live at the property and also some criminal as I saw one guy walking around with a tag on his ankle, I have no idea what his crime was and having my 10 year old daughter staying I didn’t want to leave her alone. They have parking but it’s impossible to get a space so we parked next door in the Woolworths or on the road outside. The reception guy seemed nice always said hello
