    Pros +

    • space was good,
    • The room was in a great position to access restaurants and shops also just a short walk to the beautiful pool area.
    • Location, view, comfort, pool and spa. Family friendly. Free parking. Friendly reception staff.

    Cons -

    • deferred maintenance not done, dirt around ranch slider handle, deep step in bath no grab handle, we are all not teenagers, room needs a paint, no heater, phone almost ready to fall off wall, placement next to the restaurant, when other similar room could
    • There are really no complaints at all.
    • Apartment was comfortable but dated. More power points are needed. TV wouldn’t connect to apps, but free to air seemed to work. Would have appreciated basic pantry staples (butter, milk, salt & pepper, oil etc). Most of the school holiday activities listed in the hotel were cancelled which was disappointing.

Location was great for beach, cafes etc. All one had to do was walk out the back gate. Car parking was easily accessible via the lift.

Do not wait until check in to inform the guest that there are renovations occurring in the adjacent unit. Provide a map showing guests how they can access Reception from units near the beach side.

Big Swimming pool, conveniently located near the beach and restaurants. Beautiful sea view!

We have been to this place many times and the pool revamp is really great. Well positioned.

This was a very disappointing visit. Reception was cut off so we couldn’t work out from the instructions on lift how to get to them and ended up wandering through the car park! Requests for help with broken tv remotes, extra towels and temperature for jacuzzi went unanswered. We paid a lot for an apartment with a jacuzzi but didn’t get extra towels. The temperature of the jacuzzi was like a tepid bath. TV remote was broken and the bed was terrible. My partner and I both ended up with back pain after the weekend from a mattress well past its used by date.

The location is good and the main pool is nice. Most of the general facilities seems good from what we could tell. Parking can be a bit complicated, but we were given an excellent map and instructions on where to go.

Bed was terrible with an obvious low spot in the middle, very uncomfortable sleep. Very dark, especially in the bedroom even with all the lights on. TV remote didn't work, Foxtell didn't work either. Spiral stairs leading up to the private spa area were very tight and felt like a big slipping risk if wet. Spa pool was pretty old with low temp and broken controls. "Private" spa pool was not even remotely private being looked down upon by nearly the entire hotel. Overal the room was very dated, worn out and not particularly clean.

Great position and very clean with minimum noise. Had all kitchen aids with suitable crockery. In all a good four nights. The pool was excellent and parking was good as well.

The shower joint leaked unto the roof which then drenched my wife whilst being wet from the arm. Housemaid was told with maintenance promised. Three days later and contacting reception the shower arm was totally replaced in five minutes. No daily contact with house staff to replace tea coffe etc. bought our own. Light flickers in lounge — had to watch tv. Shame but the man said all the taps etc are due to be replaced. Sooner than that. Old gear hanging in there.

    All but perfect

Our internet barely worked and that is the only criticism. Everything else was perfect but we couldn’t get the wifi and subsequently the casting (chrome cast) to work the whole time. It meant we made time for each other in different ways but still we would’ve liked to watch a movie at night time. I could t recommend the property higher enough however. Thank you so much

The pool access door was close by but unfortunately blocked off, due to recent renovations?. Yet the pool area was completely finished with landscaping and others were using the pool. We never ended up using pool as we couldn’t find an access point that was open.

Access to the shower was awful. We are in our 70’s and had to climb up two levels then down into a deep bath to shower! We were given a antislip mat. Late in the day once we were unpacked and weary from travelling a man called to give us a more suitable room. But we were way too exhausted.

Perfect location close to the waterfront, restaurants & the main street

    Location

Our booking was during, cyclone Alfred 9 March to 12 March. Contacted Breakfree to look our options, spoke to Emma and Jemma on different occasions, decided to changed dates to 29 March to 1 April, this was from 8 to 11 March. Thinking everything was arranged, Thursday afternoon 13 March, received a call from Stacy, stating what I was told by an Emma and Jemma if changed dates was incorrect? I decided to have my payment refunded, or make a direct booking with her and payment due 1 week before. Same afternoon received an email from Booking.com via Breakfree invoicing me for $798. I contacted Breakfree that afternoon, apparently my original booking payment had been transferred to our new dates, so to ignore the invoice??? I don’t know how this transfer happen??? I can only think Stacy did something, as we had agreed on a refund.

Very helpful reception staff, finally got moved to a better room after 2 nights.

The room we were allocated Boardwalk no 46 was in an awful state. When we arrived the ranch slider was dripping wet, the unit smelt stale, the carpet was dirty and covered in stains, the settee was stained and the air conditioning when it came on through the night had water running down the wall out of it and each time it came on the smell was awful. The bed was less than satisfactory, I would think its an old water bed base with a mattress on it.

    bedroom - shower etc, - kitchen -

Lack of signage - No handbook with instructions - Kitchen chairs with uncomfortable wooden seats - Lounge too low for seniors and no back support - no trolleys

Absolutely great location! My kids were rapt with the size of the pool and great places to eat around. Some of the facilities are a bit old, but not the end of the world. Absolutely amazing stay!

    10DonnaPosted on: 3-22-2025

Great position, beautiful views. Apartment had everything you need for a holiday.

There was not enough crockery or knifes and forks. The air conditioning vents leaked water.

    8AmyPosted on: 3-20-2025

Central to everything and very big

Air con wasn't working and neither was the tv as batteries were flat so that was disappointing

The overall e and comfort of the room. The pool.

My wife COULD NOT get into the shower cubicle. There were two quite high steps and a ridiculous shower screen which she was never going to be able to get through. I have generally good mobility and I still found it difficult to access. A tall person would have had similar problems. She resolved the problem by using the shower at the poolside, however it did not have a door, nor anywhere to hang her clothes or bag so they didn't get wet. It wasn't particularly clean either.Reception gave me clear directions to access the car park but when I proceeded to follow them we found the road was blocked off due to a street market running later that day.

We had a male staff member check us in very helpful.Check out we had a female staff member check us out didn't look up from the computer and didn't say a word and just took the door card. Very unprofessional. Also found the Gym very disappointing and small.
