Rumba Beach Resort

Certainly a beautiful location. The amenities are great. Beautiful swimming pools. The interior of the whole complex is very nice with a lovely vibe. Whether you are a family or a coupleThis place is spotless....so nice to stay in a lovely clean unit. Only booked for two nights and they even changed the towels and straighten the bed after 1 night.Staff were very friendly and very helpful.Many restaurants and bars in walking distance.Will certainly be back....one of my faves

The apartment was very well laid out and spacious. Convenient location to the beach and Main Street Caloundra.

I loved how quiet it was, the location and the ocean view.

The beds and pillows were very very uncomfortable. All 4 of us felt the same way.

Close to the beach, food and great facilities. Beautiful view in front rooms.

Location location location! Rented a beach front apartment so our views were perfect. And loved the variety of pool areas.

26 degree bar did not open at stated opening hours on one of the days. Had to follow up with reception staff and then was told it would open an hour later

Muffins were delicious.

Cocktails were ordered and we were told they would bring them to us by the pool. After 30 minutes we went back to the bar as we hadn’t received them, they were sitting on the bar. The presentation were pretty ordinary as well.

Great room, kids loved the 2 pools and spa, location is excellent, staff very friendly and helpful.

Free coffee and muffins in the morning was disapointing

Great cleanliness, lovely and helpful staff, good priced happy hour drinks, modern room, great water pressure and appliances and pool towels. Clean pools and spa with shaded areas. Housekeeping served the room daily which was great. Free use of bucket and spade for the kids, can hire beach umbrella and chairs and a walk across the road to the beach. Good to see some containers in the cupboard and ice bucket with access to ice machine downstairs. Balcony glass doors have good soundproofing. Plenty of great places to eat for all meals including gluten free and dairy free. Carpark height 2.05m

Would be great if there were some kids cups and plates, only nice crockery available. Fancy oven, but really needs some simple instructions to use it.

The location was good

The Rumba is NOT a resort! The definition of resort is relaxation and recreation. This is a noisy hotel with pools. Our family holiday was a very disappointing stay with constant noise. Neighbours kid upstairs constantly ran and jumped from 5am every morning. Garage truck also visited early every morning! Not the restful holiday that we planned. The noise from the pools is quite loud! I read through the reviews again and so many people saying the same. The lounges in the apartment are so uncomfortable leaving the entire family left with sore. Funky BO smell from our balcony topped it off!

The 3 bedroom unit was clean and definitely spacious enough for our family. Great location.

Not a big deal but we did hear a bit of noise from the bar downstairs on a Saturday night but it didn’t last long and I expect it in such a central location. Our veranda was set back a bit but still had lovely ocean views. In previous stays the 3 bedroom had expansive ocean views.

Fabulous location! We had a two-bedroom apartment overlooking the water and enjoyed sitting on the balcony. There were two bathrooms. It was spacious with terrific, comfortable beds and lounge. The kitchen was well-equipped with quality appliances and even had plastic containers and an ice bucket. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was so easy to be able to park beneath the building and walk to the water, shops, restaurants and our favourites: The Pastry Lab and Fifty Acres Gelato.

The air conditioning was tricky to adjust to work most efficiently.

Excellent location so close to everything and the room was very comfortable clean and well presented. I was originally disappointed we had a low floor but the courtyard we had was lovely, quite private and well furnished. Great place for families with smaller children.

The downfall of our particular room on the ground floor was it was right beside the pool. Two of the bedrooms backed onto the pool area and the main entry/exit. The pool noise did calm down after 9pm which was good, but then cleaning of the area kicked off around 5am and just people walking past were quite noisy. We ended up grabbing a cheap Bluetooth speaker and playing some white noise in the bedrooms at that end of the apartment. The main bedroom at the front was lovely and we were comfortable with our white noise on :-) I think when I booked a premium 3 bedroom apartment which was one of the most expensive ones I was expecting one a bit higher

The facilities are great and the location cannot be beaten across the road from the beach and close to restaurants. The staff are friendly and efficient from reception to bar to cleaners. Fresh coffee and muffins in the morning, happy hour in the evening and live music at the weekend add to the enjoyment
