Overlander Homestead Motel

The waitstaff in the Restaurant were trying their best to provide good service.

Walking into the Reception there was a distinct dog smell and we were surprised to see six dogs behind the counter.The motel room was dated and compendium information was reflecting a Quality Hotel brand and had out-of-date information.On Booking.com the Motel was advertised as 4.5 star and including minibar, that is definitely not correct.Dinner in the Restaurant was overpriced. Our steaks were both under cooked and tough, one virtually inedible.The accommodation was expensive compared with others in town - almost $100 more than other comparable options.

Great staff, value for money good restaurant

Lovely, quaint and old-school feeling. Lovely to have a front and rear patio to chill on. The restaurant is fantastic. Great feed and incredibly helpful and cheery staff.

Restaurant was very good. Very nice meals with very generous portions.

Water pressure in the shower was poor.

Everything. Room is more like a spare in a luxury house. Parking in front of room. Big TV. All the staff are next level. Couldn’t have felt more welcome. Probably the best motel I’ve stayed at. And the restaurant and food was 5 star quality.

Location

The shower door did not close and as a result water leaked all over bathroom floor. Bed was very uncomfortable and form toppers did not help at bed - the bed also sagged in both lying positions. Bed needs to be replaced.

Hands down the best staff at any accommodation in 2024, attentive, friendly, helpful. We will be back and happily recommend this property (and the adjoining restaurant) to anyone!

Very well located, great communication with motel staff. Meals and staff at the restaurant fantastic. very comfortable beds and plenty of room.

We stayed in an executive queen room. The room was clean and included microwave, electric jug, toaster, a small dining table and two chairs. The bathroom was fitted out for disabled persons.

Two cups were provided but no glasses, cutlery or crockery. The bed was higher than usual the mattress very soft. Only one dressing gown was provided and there was only a single lounge chair. We found the decor dark and oppressive. The motel is located close to the sale yards and on the outskirts of Roma. The CBD is a short drive away.

The king size bed was good & the restaurant & staff at the restaurant were great.

Paper thin walls. You can hear everything happening next door & vice versa. Our neighbours complained to us about our 8 & 10 year old kids being too noisy so I wouldn’t stay there again with children. The shower screen didn’t shut properly so water leaked everywhere when you had a shower.

Breakfast ordered on the prior evening and delivered to our room on time. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean and well maintained. Onsite restaurant was outstanding and the staff were so friendly! We will absolutely be back!
