Anchor Bay Motel

This hotel has amazing view.we absolutely love this place, 20-25mins drive to jervis bay, 40mins to blow hole and so many beautiful beaches near by. Staying here for 2 to 3 days will be a best holiday ever.

Noisy but not fault of motel

We booked a DELUXE TWIN room and were put in a small BASIC room with 1 bed (large double I think). Extremely disappointing.No blinds or net at the windows meaning you had to keep the curtains closed.An 8" lizard in the room in arrival didn't help either.The motel was virtually empty and we were given the wrong room!!Make sure check you get the right room.

Comfort, location, facilities

The guy Sam was so helpful and accomading as we had a family emergency in the early hours of the morning. Allowing us a late check out and also appreciated the phone call of concern as our we were seen leaving and not returning..Thank you

Great location and very convienent. We did not meet staff as all done through intercom. Were helpful and pleasant. Handed in key in leaving box

The bathroom could have been cleaner. Didn't see any staff. Had to call them to get the keys to room.

Photos on booking.com make it appear to be actually right beside the water when it’s across the road.

The motel was set in neat and tidy grounds. It consisted of two buildings split by a small side road. It was easy to access the keys. We had a garden table and two chairs set outside our room. The room and bedding were very clean.The location was right on the shore . We were heading north so it was a bit out of the way for us - about 8 miles away from the main highway north. However it was very pleasant to be so near the water.The only member of staff we met introduced himself as the janitor. He was personable and helpful.

The decor in the room was a bit drab - too many greys!The TV seemed to be only audio.The restaurant beside the motel was only available for breakfast and lunch. It was excellent for breakfast but we had to look further afield for dinner on the day we arrived.

Well cared for buildings and surroundings. Room clean and well presented. Outside seating for each room. Inside chairs and tables too.Parking available.Access was via steps or ramps as our rooms were on a hill.

Room keys in a key safe to collect but we didnt have a code to get in. Luckily owner turned up and gave us a key.
