Clean and welcoming, great staff! Band was playing on the Saturday night which was fantastic!
No fly screens on windows. Would have liked to open window
Conveniently located.
On arrival we were addressed as follows “Are you checking in” No hello can I help or Hi Welcome to Bundanoon Hotel. From then on it just got worse. The temperature in the room was mid-30s no A/C impossible to sleep. The fans provided were useless. In the morning following ‘the night of the inferno’ I asked the gentleman on reception if he could direct us to where they were serving breakfast, only to be told the Hotel doesn’t serve breakfast. I politely informed him that my booking included breakfast. His response was “there’s a cafe about 50 mtrs across the road you can get breakfast there… we have to share the love”. He then asked if he could see our booking to confirm it included breakfast. For fear of being called a liar I showed him… he grunted in response. After which I promptly checked out. I thought I’d experienced the worst until I experienced the Bundanoon Hotel.
Not recommended
Ensuite bathroom is a just bathroom with glass partition within the bedroom itself and the ceiling of bathroom is kept open to bedroom, so foul smell from bathroom will get into bedroom as the glass walls of bathroom are not extended upto ceiling.Never imagined and expected something like thus that too in Australia
The building was great, the communal bathrooms are great fun all things considered with the high quality finishes, the bedrooms are small but clean and benefit from thermal massing. I was in the brigadoon wing (ground floor looking at the carpark) and it was pretty nice, but the resident break room smelt awful and you wonder why the staff don't air it out. The doors were unanimously noisy with clumsy door knobs so people going in and out of their rooms became the close personal business of everyone else on the floor. I had to knock on a door at 12.30 am to stop a scrum of kids who were clearly ready to continue to joke and give loud opinions until 6am, they were very polite and apologised and immediately piped down so ultimately it was all good. You expect noise until 12am in a pub hotel, it's just when it went further than that that i had to think of my long drive in the morning. A word on the staff, lady at the front desk was brisk and nonplussed; the English bar tender was class; the lady who ran the restaurant wait staff was imposing but warm; the father helping his son pick the lock of the staff only door in the brigadoon wing was charming. The town itself was good for a night and a morning - we did the Fairy Bower walk which was great, then Axe Thai was very tasty and well staffed, in the morning the weekend antique lady near the cafe ran by a mum and her daughters (or something like that) was kind and had good stuff. You want to support the IGA but it seems to have lost business to the hideously overpriced servo next door.

Pleasant
Was noisy as a party with loud music was on till late night.Limited parking Hotel didn't have some of the basic amenities like toast machine
Comfortable bed. Bar lounge was comfy. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Was not roomed close as requested. Kitchenette didn't a full stock of bowls and cutlery for early breakfast. Ants in room in the morning. Small things that didn't impact much but can be improved.
It's very nice but in the rooms no Aircondition.
Location was very beautiful and the rooms was very clean and tidy
The room was clean, freshly renovated with a beautiful new bathroom
Clean, comfortable, good food, nice courtyard, friendly staff, amazing pizzas
Nothing - I thought everything was great and convenient
Good location
No Air Conditioning or fans in rooms. 40deg plus temperature upon arrival and had to request portable fans to manage heat … 1st fan provided did not work.
Such a surprise! A beautiful gem of a hotel in a lovely part of the world. An unexpected joy to find... booked only the day before as an overnight stopover traveling from Melbourne to Port Macquarie. Beers in the gorgeous beer garden to relax pre dinner. A hit of tennis with my son. Plenty of room for him to burn some energy off after a day in the car. Would absolutely stay again. Wonderful dinner too, really delicious.
The hotel is fine for an overnight stay and the restaurant seemed to be very good, although I unfortunately missed the evening meal due to a late afternoon snooze. But it was busy and I got a dessert and some coffee which were both excellent. The ensuite was clean and tidy.
Unfortunately the bed was a bit too soft for me. And although there was a cabinet with tea and coffee making facilities (and a hole in the back of the cabinet for the cable to pass through) there was no socket to plug the kettle into. So you had to take the kettle to the other side of the bed which was where the only socket in the entire room was placed. While not the end of the world I did wonder why something so simple couldn't have been fixed. No big deal.
So cute, like in another country and staff were so so friendly. Great location too.
The rooms weren’t very sound proof. I could hear the person in the room next door snoring.
It was quiet, clean and the bed was really comfortable!
I know it is an experience staying here… but a little fridge would be great in the room.

stayed in standard ensuite double room...beds and pillows comfortable. Had dinner from the bistro in the beer garden - food and service was excellent. Close to national park for walks
Excellent location, very clean and very comfortable.
Potentially more amenities to cater for the number of rooms.
