BIG4 Karuah Jetty Holiday Park

Have stayed often. Staff really helpful, managed to move our chalet to one we preferred.Quiet, a good stop before reaching the Xmas traffic of Sydney area.

Quiet location near the water.

The smell of the cleaning products were overwhelming and felt toxic. It’s not necessary to use overly perfumed products with chemicals in this day and age.

Location was great, quiet and comfortable deluxe villa. Clean and tidy grounds, pet friendly.

Wi-Fi was very spotty, had to connect my phone to the tv to watch any streaming service.

Very basic, pretty old, but clean, just ok

The room provided all that we needed and you were right beside the water which was lovely. We were able to walk to the RSL club for dinner - 10 minutes level walk if that. I liked the fact that I could park my car directly beside the cabin.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

DOGS!!!!!We were there for 3 nights. 3 wonderful ladies from housekeeping kindly came and cleaned our unit again after 1 night due to someone having a stinking dog in the room the previous night!!!!Doona and blanket hadn’t been changedafter dog had obviously spent the night on it!!!! NOT good enough!Thankyou to housekeeping staff?When booking it did not state it was a pet friendly unit!!!!

The lock on the front door didn’t work properly. Door was hard to closeSeveral spiders throughout the cabin which freaked my daughter out.

Our first stay was in the smaller chalet. Had everything we needed, clean, quiet comfortable. On our stay a week later we were given an upgrade to a deluxe chalet. Felt everything was brand new, lots of space everywhere, more private aspect from verandah. Really deluxe with two main bedrooms, felt a bit wasted just on a couple? Thank you we will return.

Air con was filthy, the filters whistling, took them out and cleaned them myself

Convenient stop and friendly, helpful service. It had everything we needed and was very clean. Beds and sofa extremely comfortable.

Wifi was slow, but we were warned that it could be.

Hot water is not good enough for showers. No air conditioning in the rooms.

Clean and modern villa

Internet was slow but expected.

During this trip, we suffered from a storm in Port Stephens. For two out of the three days, the hotel had no electricity and internet. Fortunately, the kitchen had a gas stove, so we were able to cook. The kitchen was fully equipped, though we didn’t have the chance to use most of the appliances. Overall, the hotel stay was quite comfortable.

1 The room list includes a hairdryer, but we couldn’t find one in the room.2 Several fences outside the villa were blown down by strong winds, causing a lot of noise at night, but no one came to fix it promptly.

Facilities are old, not many activities in the park for older kids.

Karuah jetty was beautiful, and we spotted few dolphins swimming around.We enjoyed the buggy rides around the park.Kitchen was well equipped with the basics if you want to cook a meal. Cabin was clean.

No Wi-Fi at all. Advertised as fast Wi-Fi. False advertising. Zero Wi-Fi for the whole 2 night stay. Staff said come to the reception area if we need to use Wi-Fi! Really? Is that what we're looking for in a family holiday?Kids pool - water amenities are all out of order. So it's just a dirty pool. Nothing else.When we questioned about it the staff just lied saying they didn't know it was not working and will send a tech to check. It was just a big lie to get away with the issues. No one turned up.The water features was one of the reasons I booked this holiday park as I have 3 young children. They were utterly disappointed.Cabin - it was decent sized and fairly clean but there were lots of black ants which gotten into our food items. Spotted a couple of cockroaches too.Hot water - not consistent. Lucky it wasn't the winter.Kids playground - equipments need a good clean. Saw some plastic bottles and wrappers thrown on the ground.. Also a dog was tied inside the playground when we were there and I really believe dogs should not be allowed within the playground area for children's safety.Overall quite disappointed.Would not recommend until they take things seriously and fix the issues to improve the place. Until then please spend your money elsewhere.

The facilities they have for kids and as a family holiday The view is so good there.

It was great for our stay, close to everything we needed and affordable, great value for money actually. It was clean and comfortable.

Mattress was uncomfortable so sleeping was a bit tricky.

Not much activities for kids, all equipment needed to be hired for extra charge
