Pros +
- Share facilities , clean good space. Bed good size and comfortable
- Did not have breakfast. Location was good for shopping and restaurants.
- Very clean, nice bed sheets, high ceilings, charm
Cons -
- All good for a pub.
- The owner is grumpy and that attitude is spreading to the staff. It’s important to smile, be helpful and kind to your guests and try your best. If the owner doesn’t give the example then the rest of the staff will just follow through with the same unhelpful attitude and behaviour
- Power point.

Location and lady who ran plates on Sunday nite, and does rooms.
Power point.
We were pleased to discover there was a communal kitchen available with free tea/coffee and a fridge to store any breakfast supplies. The room was simple but adequate and the shared bathrooms were well maintained.
Being a Saturday night it was quite noisy until around midnight. There was a light on in the hall all night, which interfered with our sleep since the room had a window above the door that let the light in. I'm not sure how many rooms were using the shared bathroom, but since there were only two toilets and showers, there was sometimes a bit of a wait.
Hotel bars etc were great and very popular. The room itself was sparse. Bed was comfy. Common bathroom facilities were just ok.
See above. Also seemed that the accommodation side of the hotel was not a key priority
Great people and staff lovely beer garden pool table free on Sundays.
Bed was comfy.
Tiny room. Shared bathroom (my bad), noisy in the morning. Emailed and phoned the hotel for 2 days to ask about on-site parking, without response.
Local to cbd - walk to cafes/shops/cafes
No much
The room was lovely and clean.
No bathroom and noise filters through the walls easily.
It’s a pub
Bathroom fixtures hanging off the wall, hot water didn’t work
Air-con, comfortable bed. Walking distance to CMF events in nearby bars, clubs, Peel Steet. Staff were friendly and helpful but seemed understaffed for such a busy period.
Price went up to $250 per night during CMF for a double, $328 for a twin room. Two shared bathrooms/toilets also being used by non-guests meant often having to wait to use. Bathrooms needed more frequent cleaning. Bags of dirty laundry accumulated over four days at the entrance to the accommodation. Unused furniture filled one hallway, including a bed literally outside our door. All should have been out of sight.
An amazing experience from our arrival to our departure. The owner was very friendly and accomodating and the staff super friendly and helpful. A historic pub with plenty of history for country music.
Perfect location, directly at the train station, and close to the city centre (5 minute walk);wonderful staff, friendly, competent, helpful;very nice beer garden with great food;modern and spacious bathrooms (shared)
some rooms are a little bit noisy (from machines outside)
Excellent staff...real pub on the ground floor, with nice beer and not overpriced.. parking out the back was great..had dinner in the restaurant and it was nice.. very close to the centre of the town..2 mins walk...
It's not so much a dislike as an observation, the room was very old and basic, but had what you needed, could have been cleaner... they have shared bathrooms, but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bathroom... very nice, clean and roomy..if you looking for luxury this isn't the place for you, but if you want reasonably priced basic accommodation in a good location with nice people and a decent pub downstairs... it's the one..
Good location, easy parking.Clean rooms, well designed and clean bathrooms.Quiet.Comfortable bed.
The location was good, and food good, the room was average but with air-conditioning,, at the end of corridor was facilities for tea, coffee etc.,.
Shared bathroom and toilet which meant walking down corridor,I did not appreciate being woken at 4.30 am by building across the ways lights as curtains were not adequate to keep out light. No box to leave keys for early checkout.
was close to everything
the female bouncer, she had proper issues with the clientele and very rude and nasty
The workers super nice, downstairs pub has awesome food!the rooms are not big ,but they clean the room best they can, great experience!
Great pub, comfy bed, lovely bar staff who were very helpful. Bathroom was modern and there was a nice kitchenette available. Easy walk for coffee in the morning.
