Stockmans Motel

The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was wonderful, all very clean and pleasant to stay in.

The rooms are great, comfy bed, big TV and the Restaurant always has great meals

The restaurant was excellent and convenient after a long day of travelling with 2 kids. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.They also let us have a late checkout when we asked at late notice. The room was was clean and kept in good shape making us feel comfortable. The beds were comfortable and made for a good night's sleep.

Would have been nice if there was firm (harder) pillows to pick from in the cupboard.

Family own the business friendly staff, we really appreciate,we arrived late but the they held the kitchen open for us)) which is really appreciated the family room was excellent we would recommend this motel to all families specially for the feeding of the animals and the positive attitude of all the the staff.

Location was great.

Room was small. Bed was like sleeping on a stone. ( not that i really slept due being so uncomfortable) No patio or verandah as per paid for. Person next door just sat outside next to my room drinking most of the day with their friends. Had to keep door closed when there..Totally disappointing. After staying at this location before..Second thoughts on returning again

Highway noise

Beautiful location. Very scenic with lots of amenities for the kids. It was a perfect place for our kids basketball team to stay and be able to relax together between games. The restaurant was also great and loved our free morning coffee. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were magnificent and very friendly and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in a great place to stay.

Didn't have breakfast but dinner was very good. I'd make a point of going back there.

Room size fine for one but small for two. Having said that it was really comfortable and clean

The restaurant area and the location of it

The family rooms weren't actually on the same property and were not notified about this in the booking. The rooms definitely need more to it as it was very bare with no vacuum cleaner or broom to clean up the dirt that is brought in from the carport especially when it was a wet weekend (the carport needs to be concrete or all rocks so that fine dusty dirt stops from coming in the room), no spare linen or towels considering we were away from the acutal motel property, there was no washing powder to do washing when washing was needing to be done and there would be no where to hang it. If we were to was up dishes, there wasn't a sponge, just a tea towel. No iron or ironing board and coat hangers, just an emtpy cupboard. Definitely needs a lot of work to make it more family-friendly and not be si bare. The restaurant area, though, was amazing, and the area itself is so pretty!

From the moment I arrived and all throughout, the staff were amazing. I stayed two nights and ordered room service both nights. Not only was the food presented beautifully and cooked to perfection, but it was delivered hot.I congratulate both the staff and the chef on an amazing job. I recommend this as the place to stay in Tamworth. If you are local, I fully recommend coming here for a meal and a drink or two, and I will definitely be back.
