Reasonably close to town

Advertised hours is check in till 8pm and got a call at 6:50pm saying reception was closing due to 'shift finished'. No soaps or cutlery and another guest advised there was homeless living there and other guests with visible ankle bracelets. When travelling with kids, this made me feel uneasy. Also, accommodation came with 'breakfast included' which was a too short of a window with no alternative. As well, disable holes in linen and blinds and filthy stains on carpet.

Privacy parking

Very stale smell in the room even after 2hr airing. House keeping non existent. The shower head was broken and sprayed water all over my wife’s fresh perm and ruined it. The water tap in the hand basin dripped all night and kept me awake. Told the young fellow in the morning who was very polite and apologetic. I really hated the whole experience and quite honestly deserve some form of compensation for the horrible experience.

Staff not really interested in helping. Closed reception early and not there at opening time

No internet password was supplied no one was at the front desk when we arrived there were cockroaches in the room

First room i checked into had the toilet water constantly running, not trickling, running, they changed me to the room below, so i had to go and turn the water off in the room that i was in. Then when i got there the next afternoon the water was running again in the room above so i went and gor the key & turned it off....AGAINThe breakfast consisted of a room with juice, milk, weetbix bread & toaster....crap!!The place was full of crackheads and i will never stay there again.

Good Location. The room was a good size clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful

It was a clean enough place to sleep on our way through town.

The bolt on the door was installed upside down so you only had the door handle lock and the chain for security.

No bteakfast

Scalded in shower , incorrect plumbing of shower tap. Not enough towels , room open with a towel short and garbage bin already used

The room was a generous size, with plenty of room to put things down. There is an extensive grassed area to the rear of the buildings. The included continental breakfast was taken in a dining room (this appears to be what allows the motel to misleadingly claim it has an on-site restaurant).

There is a significant cohort of long-stay residents, and the attendance of police was disconcerting.

Every thing was great the bed was comfy the bathroom was nice and clean all in all it was a great stay

Good to have air con but was not in the bedroom was warm in there easy parking and there was a pool for convenience

Was not given the wifi code was only one aircon in living area not in bedroom. Was no power points in the bedroom had to charge devices in kitchen and there was only 1 power point for all the kitchen appliances. And for the bedroom had a tv and a pedestal fan but no power to plug it in

Bed extremely uncomfortable Aircon really noisy , can even here next doors one all night False advertising - no such things as breakfast included! Restaurant/ Bar looks like it’s been closed for years!

Staff are fantastic anything you need it wasn’t a problem. The pool was nice and clean. The place was nice and quiet just out of town not too busy great location

Couldn’t say a bad word about this place. It was absolutely beautiful well maintained well looked after the staff were excellent. Breakfast was delicious, and the price is right.

Although laundry facilities are free the dryer had been broken by residents. There were no pegs available to hang our laundry out to dry, owner had to go buy some. Sliding door in unit a little tricky to use.

2 double bed option in twin room. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Air conditioning worked well.

No one in reception when we arrived- waited over 5 mins for someone to appear. Door difficult to unlock. Bathroom was unclean- fishing line in the sink, tiles opposite toilet had all sorts of dirty marks (this was covered when sliding door was open so only visible when inside the bathroom with the door closed , bathroom door was supposed to slide but must have been off it’s rails because it was heavy and difficult to close; pubic hair on window sill. Property sign is small and not lit at night so it’s difficult to locate in the dark.

The location was fine. Good that they included breakfast.

Maintenance could’ve been better. Hardly any cold water pressure. A horrid damp mouldy smell came from under the kitchen sink. No power points in the bathroom or beside the bed. No vanity basin or bench in the bathroom. The aircon was very old and noisy. The milk in the fridge was out of date. Also the Vegemite in the breakfast room was out of date. The butter was not in any refrigerated container and the weather was extremely hot! The laundry was filthy and dangerous. The washing machine and dryer were dirty. The dryer didn’t work and the power point was hanging off the wall.

TERRIBLE PLACE There is absolutely nothing at all to like about Colonial Inn Motel Tamworth at all.

I didn't like having people walk into my room, I didn't like the state of the whole building and surrounds. I didn't like the fact noone will contact myself or booking.com about my stay and refund request. Slept there 1 night out of 9, handed key back after 2nd night (stayed elsewhere). Felt so unsafe, disgusting yelling out from "non holiday makers" living there. Thought it was going to be okish up until around 3pm on my 1st full day there. Posted on a Tamworth accommodation page and several locals said to stay away from there, other motel owners told me nothing but trouble there. Should not be advertised on booking.com or any other holiday accommodation site. I would like a refund of 7 nights!

Very un savoury characters staying long term. It's more like a halfway house. We actually feared for our safety in the middle of the night hearing domestics and glass breaking but had nowhere else to go. The mansger moved us further down, but we still felt unsafe and made sure we locked ourselves in. The pool does not look like the photo, no spa, and run-down pool with broken furniture and a used ash tray bucket beside. People are allowed to smoke in front of all rooms, so it will come into your room - not great for breathing issues. Also, be careful with small children. The hot water regulator is not working, so it's scalding. The beds were very soft , if you are game to roll over to may roll out as two were also on a lean. As they say you oay for what you get . However, I at least expect to be safe !
