Pros +
- Great location and facilities. Quiet comfy rooms for 4 night stay. Supermarket across the road.
- Very comfortable, roomy and clean for an overnight stay
- We were lucky to be able to use a disabled room on the ground floor. There was a ramp for easy access and the room was large with a seperate huge bedroom and bathroom. The receptionist was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Located at the end of the main street it was very central.
Cons -
- Could have provided more pillows
- The dinner in the hotel was standard pub fare with a small choice of these meals but extensive choices of Indian food, which was not to our taste so had a limited selection. The meal we did have was huge and could have been shared by the two of us.
- The floor wasn't level. The bed was on an angle Wasn't that clean

The room was well set out with separate bedroom, kitchen/dining, tv lounge viewing and bathroom. It was very clean and good for a couple of nights stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also the onsite restaurant was excellent with great dining options, both inside and outside. They also delivered food to our room. It was central to the main street, park ground and supermarkets etc. There was onsite off street parking which was free.
It did have a lot of stairs for older people and to take your luggage up to your rooms. This is however to be expected of an old style pub. The lounge in our room was very uncomfortable for watching tv for any length of time as it had very little support and sagged quite a lot.
Beautifully white sheets and towels. High ceiling.
No towel rails in bathroom. No desk.
Comfortable room and comfy bed.
Reasonably freshly renovated but older building with old plumbing so poor water pressure in the showers and water wasnt hot enough
Was in good location
Tv didn’t work waited nearly an hour with no response so checked out. No bath mats or hand towels in bathroom. Overall disappointing as we booked the executive room. Rooms are located at a pub with a number of rooms above beer garden
Comfortable accommodation in an excellent location with plenty of meal choices at the restaurant
Bathroom of Unit 14 didn't drain properly and shower flooded across floor.
Good location for food
Stairs but no elevator, my partner struggled as he was injured previous to the stay
Great location, easy parking, great food
Overall, fair price for room
I was surprised to realise I had booked a hotel so I was a bit nervous. However, the units were off to the side and the two room apartment was very comfortable. Furthermore, the restaurant really was great.
Location and a comfortable bed.
Shower door doesn't close nor the bedroom door. Bathroom vanity impractical. No place for a suitcase.
Aj was very welcoming
Filthy shower had body grime and black mould, used dirty towel folded and left for us to use, putrid smell in ensuite drains, filthy unclean glasses, coffee cups still had coffee rings on inside just rinsed not cleaned, cutlery and draw filthy lounge had dirty stains, microwave had not been clean in a very long time splatter all on the inside. I could go on
Lovely meal in the restaurant.
We were in the older part of the pub. We could hear the man snoring next door all night. The beds were sloping into the middle and were uncomfortable. There was considerable water damage to the floors and door frames in the bathroom. Furniture cheap.
Room was a good size and was clean. Dinner at the adjoining hotel was very good.
Price and location
The bed creaked evertime you turned over, noise downstairs ( staff packing up chairs)
The food downstairs was great and the staff were friendly
The pictures made the two bedroom rooms look bigger and they were not, there wasn't even a solid door between the two rooms and the bathroom is in one of the rooms so you have to walk into the bedroom to get to it.
The room was a good size and very clean. The bistro was good with plenty of food options, A very large Indian menu. The hotel was very centrally located.
The bathroom was quite small. Our room was on the first floor and the stairs were very steep. This is quite an old hotel and there was no lift. Not suitable for anyone with a walking disability.
Rooms were a good size, bed was comfortable. Location was good, walk to shopping, pubs, etc.
Need to know there could be quite a few stairs to some rooms so check when booking in if you have difficulty with stairs and taking up luggage.
