Nice novelty underground hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our pizza and chips meal was delicious.
The shared bathrooms could have been cleaner. The hotel was overpriced.
The experience of being underground and breakfast included
The sound of the water pump i could here during night
Very eclectic accommodation in a surreal underground environment.
Food menu extremely basic and raw, not really a restaurant. Pub food down the road is awesome though.
Included breakfast and tea/coffee etc during the day was nice. Staff very helpful. Was fun to stay underground. It is a unique experience and location.
Shared bathroom facilities.
Amazing experience sleeping underground. Shared bathrooms were clean.
Very dusty - needs a good vacuum. Had to zap the mozzies in the bathroom.
Built into a hill.
Fire hazard. Smoke alarms were missing and no illuminated fire exit signs.Very dirty. Moth holes in the pillow cases.
What a simply fabulous motel. Staff were brilliant. Location was out of town but delightful. Fantastic sunset/sunrise viewing atop of the premises and the underground rooms/hallways/tunnels were great! Shared bathrooms and toilets were clean and tidy.
Wonderful, unique property. Friendly staff.
Our room (#3) was very noisy being close to the common room. Woken up quite late by a loud man talking. Room was also a bit warm for sleeping.
Location was totally unique and the history of the place absolutely remarkable.
More ventilation in the rooms- fans would be welcome.Toilet paper was scarce- most bathrooms lacked it!
This is an amazing unique experience. It is my second stay here and it had undergone some good improvements since my first stay. The roads to access Whitecliffs have been upgraded which was great. The breakfast was pretty standard for the outback. I liked the improved versatility of the evening meal. Climb the stair way to heaven for amazing sunset views.
I missed the old underground bar set up. My husband was upset that he had no signal in the bedroom! I thought it was pretty amazing that you had signal everywhere else.
rooms spacious and clean and comfortable.
breakfast was fine, but the toaster would not cook the toast. After going through about 4 times, with the dial turned up as far as it will go, it was still just warm bread.
Climb the stairs for a magic sunset. Good breakfast included and great variety. Underground stay was a "one-off".
No complaints at all.
Quirky property in the middle of a real country town
Property needs some work and updating. Has a great viewing area on top which could be a great way to view White Cliffs but has broken chairs and basically rubbish that could be used for seating. No security anyone could come in at any time. When we stayed here about 10 years ago you got a good breakfast, this time just cereal and toast. If wanting to attract tourists some money needs to be spent on upkeep.
Location and staff
Room 5 was extremely hot and stuffy
Outside sitting area
For being underground the room was hot and stuffy.
Loved our stay here. It is a truly different experience. Rooms a great, beds are comfy.
The town of White Cliffs has nothing and is run down, but that doesn’t matter, it’s all about staying underground.
The hotel cancelled our booking although it had been confirmed about 10 days before. Too bad, what a dissapointment
