Ossies Motels and Chalets

Quiet area, spacious chalet, very friendly host.

Had a late night scare before the morning of our Tongariro Alpine crossing hike that we could t find our car keys! But we found them

The room is cozy, good for a family 3-4. Clean. Staff nice and easy to communicate.

This was our second stay with Ossies, and once again, it was a great experience! The accommodation is perfect for our large group, spacious, comfortable, and well-suited to our needs. The owner is very friendly and supportive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely choose Ossies again in the future!

The property was dated and old, but the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. It was decent for an overnight stay.

It wasn't a welcoming stay. It felt like a bit of a ghost town. The outside gardens and BBQ area were overgrown and messy.

Squeaky stairs!

Cute cabin with well furnished kitchen. Next to room 11 you'll find a free to use washing mashine and a drier which came in super handy after days of hiking. Highly recommended.

We were missing electrical outlets next to the double bed for charging a phone. There was no reading lamp next to the double bed. And the ability to turn the light on or off near the bed.

The motel is at the foot of a beautiful vulcano in the countryside. In summer there are good opportunities for doings walks. The chalet is well equiped and comfortable, at the edge of town.

The chalet was very clean with great facilities including an oven and 4 top rings, microwave and fridge freezer

The bedroom consisted of a double bed, 2 bunk beds and two single beds. The double bed was uncomfortable and very bouncy. No hair dryer could be found.

Didn't get to meet the hosts. Very spacious accommodation and very reasonably priced. Quiet location.

Very comfortable two story A frame unit - a bit tired round the edges but well fitted out and good facilities. Very clean bathroom and kitchen with everything we needed. Quiet part of town but close to the centre and the Junction.

The poor TV reception was a bit annoying but otherwise all good. A couple of hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen would be appreciated.

Great size and location for the price. The owners were really helpful and gave us some really great tips. Clean and great for 1 night or even more!

Size of the bed ( small double) however other single beds to sleep in if we wanted to. Aesthetic is dated however it didn't impact our stay.

The location was very quiet. We did self-check-in as we arrived late in the evening. The accommodation was spacious, with an excellent kitchen, dining area and lounge. The bedrooms were spacious. Two showers and toilets in the bathroom area. We were only there overnight, but there was plenty of storage space if you were tramping or skiing in the region. Ample off street parking
