Snowman Lodge and Spa

Good location.

The room wasn't very clean and the surfaces needed a wipe down. Communal bins directly outside the rear entry were pretty rank and attached flies - could smell them inside. Photos made the room look significantly larger than it was. Noisy late at night with other guests playing music and loitering in the corridor outside our room. I don't like giving negative reviews but even at the cheap rate I expect a clean, hygienic place to stay. A small bar fridge in the room would also be good... It was the "superior" suite.

Overall this place was disappointing and not worth the price.... No hot water in the communal showers or bedroom sink. Bed was very uncomfortable & duvet cover was around the wrong way which was weird and came apart in the night to reveal a less than appealing duvet inner... VERY thin walls (could hear most other guests talking in their rooms) and room door did not shut properly. Restaurant shown online was closed but no mention of opening hours on website. Paid extra for a spa but most of the jets were not working properly.

Location was great

The staff seemed to have many hats. The person at reception for the spa was also the waitress at the restaurant and cleaning rooms. The waiter was also cleaning rooms. Our meals got messed up and it seemed like no one actually knew what was on the menu. One meal was bought out after the others had finished theirs (we had asked for everything to be bought out together The filter on the tap was dangling when we got there and eventually fell off. The wash and basin took ages to drain. The staff were quite rude or maybe dismissive. When we were leaving the cleaners trolley was blocking our way out and we waited for it to be moved then eventually asked to move. The cleaner grumpily removed it with out saying anythingAnd in another note. I am in the building industry. The complex does not comply with the building code in so many areas. Incuding the smoke alarms being removed from the room

Greta resturant - all you need - basic room set up but great to have spa & sauna options after a long day on the ountain!

Very tacky and add on bits out the back. But suitable for accommodation as a place to sleep while we were out and about during the day.

Location was good and had a very nice restaurant

Didnt like the rooms at all.We booked two rooms.It was smelling mouldy and really old.Felt like staying in some 1950s facility.Was not comfortable at all.

Linnen ans towels was clean

The rooms are very cold.The reception wasn't very friendly.The shampoo and body wash were all empty.There are no coffee stations in the room.The rooms can do with a lick of paint.

I had informed the reception in advance that we would be checking in late and requested that our keys be placed in the dropbox. However, upon arrival, we found no keys and received no communication regarding the late check-in procedure. This was extremely disappointing, especially as we arrived at the property around midnight with my family, including our 10-month-old baby.

The snowman lodge was in a central location. The kitchen and lounge area was cosy and comfortable.

The beds weren't supercomfortable and the walls were very thin. The trucks coming past in the morning were fairly loud. But good value for the price.

Really loved the room, it was perfect for what i needed. Warm, clean, nice easy amenities and some privacy on the little outdoor deck which was lovely too.

Not so much that i didnt like, but i was visiting for work and needed a small work desk and seating space. I pulled the outside table in which worked a treat. But a small table and chair might be nice.

Good location. Affordable. Bed comfortable. Bathroom ok.

Kitchen was a bit grubby

The location was central. Onsite restaurant Rice was fabulous. Great food, service, and well priced. Fantastic facilitates. There is a very well equipped shared kitchen and lounge. Our room had a private bathroom, but there were also shared bathroom facilities. The beds were comfortable, and our room accommodated 3 adults easily.

We stayed in the main building, which could probably do with an upgrade, carpets and decor were tired.Not well, soundproofed. We could hear the people in the next rooms conversation and even their morning alarm.

Overall a decent stop-over for one night. The room was cosy and in a good location and overall good value for money.

The shared bathrooms and hotel in general could do with a modernisation. The walls were also pretty thin, but nothing that a pair of earplugs can't fix.

Great place for travellers. Bed a bit hard though . Exceptionally clean. Kitchen facilities were great

Bed was super uncomfortable and the walls were thin so a random man pacing the corridor late at night was a little disturbing when trying to sleep

Right in town

The outside lights need to be dimmed or more adequate window coverings to shut out the light into the room at night. I was facing the internal walkway.

Good value for money, nice location

The only lighting in the room were unpleasant ceiling lights, there was a lamp missing that wouldn't burn my pupils in the evening before going to bed

Bathrooms were clean and convenient. I liked that there was a sink in the room. Location was right in the town centre.

Our window opened into a bush literally so our room was full of bugs if we wanted the window open. Needed it for air circulation as the rooms were stuffy and a little claustrophobic. The water pressure in the showers was a dribble too :(
