    Pros +

    • Clean, 2 beds. Nearby attracrions. Spas. Atrium.
    • Park Hotel Ruapehu exceeded my expectations. I had to rebook multiple times and they were so accomodating. We booked the family mezzanine, the room is warm and clean, beds are comfy, and perfect location if you're going to whakapapa. The hotel is near 4 square and g.a.s. My kids enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay here again.
    • I like the view in front of the hotel, both Mt can be seen, that's fantastic!

    Cons -

    • No A/C. But wasn't really necessary for temperature. Humidity...
    • Very noisy! People outside in the hot tub and upstairs from me were quite easy to hear. Most staff were very nice, really just one member of the kitchen staff seemed very angry.
    • The structure of the rooms should be too old so that when you live on the ground floor, you will always hear the noise from upstairs, like somebody walking upstairs, and you will hear the wooden squeak sound all the time. and the bath sink is just too tiny

Close to the Tangariro National park. On-site restaurant. Staff at front desk was friendly.

Tiny hand sink made water splashing everywhere. No microwave, no shared kitchen. Do not think of preparing your own food. One of the restaurant waitresses seemed could be happier somewhere else.

Staff was super friendly and ready to help.Close to the station. There was a laundry available, as well as drying racks for when you return wet.The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Bathroom was tiny, as in, just the exact space you need to stand.Toilet paper was single ply, meaning you need to use way more in the end anyway. No privacy since the only window opens on the course way and the sound isolation is poor. When you want some privacy, you need to shut the curtains and you feel like inside of a bunker.Electric plugs are hard to reach. No room to store your clothes.Smart TV was super slow. The breakfast food was not worth the 30NZD at all.Dinner food was greasy and there was a lack of vegetarian options.

Located close to Tongariro national park with a shuttle pick up for the famous Alpine Crossing trail in front of the hotel. Located close bar and restaurant options.

Easy to find and plenty of parking....very near Whakapapa village. Helpful staff and lots of walk info leaflets. Situated within a small village which has amenities.

Strange to have no drawers or wardrobe area in the room....if this matters to you.

The common areas w wood burning fireplaces and the hot tubs were a highlight

The room was tight and the bathroom even tighter. But it was a good value.

The room was good as expected. However, if it had a microwave that would be great especially heating up food that we bought from the restaurant but got cold...I didn't know that breakfast wasn't included in the booking but it would be great to include this. The water was warm but the soap in the bathroom wasn't replaced as we stayed for the three nights. There was tv but no channels for kids, loved the wifi connection though we couldn't connect anything from our devices to the TV. Parking was there but always full and it was very hard to find parking on our last night as it was pretty full

We were absolutely blown away by this hotel. The location was perfect for our skiing holiday. Our room was small and cosy (and warm). the size was what we booked and we were happy and tbh we only went to our room at sleeping time. the room was serviced daily as well which was nice after a long day skiing. after skiing we hung out in the restaurant in front of the fire. The restaurant was so busy yet the standard of food and service was exceptional. And the portion size of all the food was so big. We had the fish & chips, pizza, curry, soup, burgers, ribs...everything was so well prepared.Buffet breakfast - WOW. my kids were in heaven. Everything was amazing. Accommodation. Staff. Food.Honestly 10/10. we even booked an extra night as we didn't want to leave :-)will definitely be back.

    i can not fault anything

    Great staffWarm roomsComfy beds

No where to make any food, not even a BBQ, which means you have no choice but to eat at their restaurant or the only other one in the area. Both very expensive. You aren't allowed to book at the on-site restaurant. We will be booking across the road next time as they have a basic communal kitchen. No games areaTvs have 4 channels.
