The staff was super helpful with a travel problem I was having. The motel is in a very quiet neighborhood.

The television options were either very limited or pretty hard to access.

Strong fish smell in the kitchen

We received a warm welcome from Stella when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck in the afternoon sun and being so close to the New World supermarket was a bonus. Also close to the Turangi Golf Course.

It would of been nice to have had better dish washing facilities. Trying to wash dishes in a hand basin is not much fun

We stayed 2 nights in an apartment unit. It had everything we needed, i.e a comfy bed and a kitchen with all the basics. It was clean, warm, and cozy. We appreciated that it was on a quiet tree lined street, but still within easy walking distance to the super market, shops, several restaurants, and the local tavern. The resident motel cat who patrolled the grounds was very friendly. Turangi is an attractive small town at the southern end of Lake Taupo. It provides an excellent base from which to explore the Tongariro National park, the Mt Ruapehu ski fields, the Kaimanawa Forest Park, etc. in which there are endless possibilities for hiking, biking, fishing, and skiing.

Lack of a roll of paper towels in the kitchen to clean up small spills. A very minor inconvenience.

The motel host is very friendly. Inside the motel, everything is nice and tidy. We enjoyed the coziness in the hotel during our two night stay. All essential facilities are available. The location is also close to the town centre, making it easy to get food.

A quiet motel on a back street, so very peaceful. Bed was comfortable. Shower good. Own parking spot right outside door.

Bar stools are way beyond it, difficult to use.

Stella(host) welcomed me warmly and went above and beyond with the helpful service she provided. The unit looked very newly renovated, and was lovely. Tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. It was nice to see the art work on the walls was reflecting the beautiful location. The bed was super comfortable. All in all an ideal place for my one night stay to break my journey down the Island. Great value for money. Also one street back from the main road, so very quiet. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants but after a long day’s drive I’d recommend the easy local pizza delivery service; absolutely delicious.

It was an older style unit. How ever It suited our rquirements.

Owner/manager is extremely friendly and accommodating. I stay here frequently when travelling between the Bay of Plenty and Wellington and know I can rely on receiving great service.My only request would be for shower caddies to be added to avoid the risk of slipping over when reaching for body wash/shampoo from the shower base.

Handy location and relatively quiet.

The bathroom had a cracked sink, a lightbulb was missing from the bed reading lights, and 'paint' flaked from the ceiling. Overall, this was a very tired-looking motel that looked like not much had been spent on it in the last twenty years. Reception was very good, but that was the best of it
