The seclusion, space, privacy, gardens and atmosphere. It is a little gem which we will visit again.

Nothing. A very high standard of boutique fishing lodge accommodation suitable for all travellers.

I loved the welcome from the staff, the cleanliness and the specifications of the room, the proximity to amenities (450 m to the supermarket) and the peace and quiet. I also loved the tasteful fishing theme.

Nothing at all to dislike

Very friendly staff and well maintained buildings. Situated ideally near beautiful river made for very nice walks in the evenings. Location was a short walk from town to get food or groceries to cook on the BBQs or in unit kitchen. Would book again.

While the location was walking distance to town, the town itself wasn't much.

QUAINTNESS

Fantastic property in great location. Quiet and close to river walk. Great staff.

There was a hike close to our room, nice and convenient with a lookout over the area. The kitchen was good to have. It was cozy. We didn't use it, but I love that there was a fish cleaning room and grill to cook on. It was a good room, just not what I expected it to be.

The beds moved very easily with hardly touching them. It knocked the plug out of the wall so my husband's phone did not charge.

Beautiful park like grounds that back onto the Tongariro River. We had everything we needed. It is away from the main road and is very peaceful and quiet. There was a small mix up about the parking and was quickly resolved. Will certainly stay again.

A swimming pool would have been nice...

It is an unique hidden gem which gives you a typical NZ home vibe - fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room, individual room for a good night sleep and a great indoor /outdoor flow that let you to have a cup of coffee in the quiet yard surrounded by the green. Would definitely come back and stay longer to explore a bit more.

When we firstly enter the room we felt it needed fresh air and we wondered why all the windows were shut completely. But later we then realised the insects kept coming in especially during night and we shut all the windows too lol - a trade off from all the green but it has the aircon so not hot during summer night at all.

The suit located in a green area has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is clean, quiet with a lot of facilities in the room and in the gardens.

Location was great and the cabin was clean and very comfortable.

I loved the greenery around the property and the river walk ...Place was spotless and very well equipped.The owner is very friendly caring man-Peter-fish.

An older hotel but a classic

Quiet location and super nice to go on the river trail less than 5 mins away!

The owners are super friendly and welcoming. The cabin is comfy and spacious. It's pretty close to the Tongariro National Park. We love the river walk connected to the property. Definitely will stay here again if we're visiting the area in the future!

Beautiful, peaceful, setting. A private, friendly stay on a pedestrian path along the river’s edge. Quite perfect.

The gardens were beautiful! The path along the river was great to take an evening walk.

We would have preferred a slightly firmer bed. It's just personal preference. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Very nice cabins (duplex style), well maintained and charming. A quiet facility tucked into nice landscaping around the property. Friendly staff checking us in after a long day travel. Wish we could have stayed longer, sad to only have an overnight. Nice walking path along the river behind the property.
