    Pros +

    • Originally had a cabin without self contained toilets. Due to rough weather managed to upgrade with one with self contained toilet and shower without issue.Rooms and Park were amazing.
    • Location excellentGreat value for moneyThe newer family room is awesome
    • I enjoyed the experience of a night in a comfortable combi van.Thank you!

    Cons -

    • Being a female - would be great to have power in the communal bathroom for drying hair - or a mirror on the wall in the boatsheds
    • The shower needed some attention, water ran hot & cold quickly.
    • The toilet block was fairly small with only a couple of cubicles in the men's side.

This place is brilliant. The communication was perfect and the hosts very friendly. The accomodation was so cute. Spacious and very cosy on a cooler evening. Loved it!!

They VW camper van style of the cabin was very fun, and it stayed a good temperature through the night. The check-in process was very smooth, and there was plenty of space to park the car. Facilities were clean, and the kitchen was a large size with plenty of equipment to use. Amazing location, beautiful to see the stars at night, and a good view over the lake in the daytime.

The toilet block was fairly small with only a couple of cubicles in the men's side.

The quirky combi camper van was brilliant and made for a memorable experience

Mattress well over due fir replacement and requires more showers

    - Very nice staff. - Clean facilities. - Kitchen equipment available for use (free). - Interesting room designs (combi van). - Lovely setting on lake. - Quiet - Near Tongariro national park (for crossing and other walks). - Not too far from Taupo. - Good for the price and area.

    - Beds we’re a bit too soft for our taste. - Showers required some skill to keep temperature stable but fine overall. Ample hot water and pressure. - Not related to the property but the only local cafe didn’t do good food. Coffee was ok.

Clean kitchen and bathrooms, surprisingly quiet at night. Good location

Only one thing- the bed was too short for my partner and uncomfortable because of that.

Good location. Accommodation clean and tidy.

Showers and toilets ok, could do with upgrade.

    7SophiePosted on: 2-10-2025

Spacious kitchen with a good bbq out the back. The shower rooms and shared bathrooms were clean and the water was hot and had good pressure. Staying in a converted campervan was cool.

Not a lot of fridge space in the common kitchen.

The Kombi vans are so well done it's fun to stay. So close to Taurangi & Taupo the perfect get away.

Location- very convenient for our road trip to the South Island. Value for money.

Very hot tap in the bathroom.

The public facilities are low standard toilets showers and kitchen are below standard of other holiday 10 parks

Combi glamping experience was awesome!! Super cute accommodation with a little porch and we were lucky enough to get the water view combi.

Would have loved a lamp in the room to suit the atmosphere - the overhead light was way too bright for a cosy or romantic vibe! Also some fly screens would be great as we had a few mozzies.

Well set up cabins, there was nothing we needed that wasn’t there. Great to find a couple of big tables where our group of 6 could eat together. Great facility!

Easy stroll to the waterfront, nice areas to sit on the decks, parking was good and the shop at reception was very well stocked

Very pleasant and helpful owners. Original designs for every taste and variety of services, fish clean area :)

Our cabin was exactly what we needed. Awesome view of the lake, kitchen was clean and well maintained. The manager was an excellent host and me and my family will definitely be back again.

Lack of hot water for the showers and dishes.

    9NathaliePosted on: 1-20-2025

Very modern and comfortable cabin, perfect for our needs.

A mosquito net on one of the windows would make this place perfect!

    8RaifePosted on: 1-18-2025

The hosts and the desk were incredibly welcoming. We stayed in one of the VW campers and it was really cute and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were really clean and useful. Would book again. ?

The showers and toilets were clean, but could do with a bit of a spruce up.
