We were in town for a quick break and the price was right

The place was grubby and ill maintained. The staff was friendly and willing enough, but that didn't really change anything. We booked because we wanted a pool. It was there and available, but dirty and not looked after very well.

Price is ok

This property definitely needs a renovation, all facilities are dated, shower is below par.

Our room still had toiletries, old used soaps and shavers from previous guest in our bathroom.Felt like walking on eggshells every time walking in our rooms because of how bad the floor was.Could hear every single thing from next door rooms.

Location was perfect for our reason for being in Tokoroa and Price was the best.

Curtains didn't give privacy. They need to upgrade the heaters as they only lasted 5mins, like it had a thermostat.

It was in town

The couch in our room was stained, damaged like it had no springs. The shower is so small like a box and the shower head is the fixed type. Bed wasn't that comfortable. Needs a upgrade. The bathroom is in the room so it meant the people who slept in the lounge couldn't access through the night without knocking and waking up the people in that room

Check in was quick and easy.

There were some people drinking and talking loudly on the balcony quite late ?‍?

The location, the price was good and the sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family

Old and run down. Car mat inside door, curtains didn't cover all of window because they were too narrow, curtains were too thin to block out outside lights, curtains above bed were torn and shabby, unit was outdated and unkempt

The host was absolutely lovely, walking distance to main town and supermarket

I’m sorry but it was a real let down - I think with the motel sign on the ground was the first red flag. We were in Unit 3 for two nights. The lock in the bathroom didn’t work (just as well we were family), the toilet seat moved whilst doing our business, the fan in the main room didn’t work, the communal kitchen was closed ( we had no cooking facilities in our room) and unfortunately my partner and I got bitten by fleas. Saw one in our daughter’s bed as well. The shower was quite temperamental in regard to heat and flow of water, so my daughter and I waited til we got home back in Wellington to have a proper shower. The room decor was very, very outdated, reminded me of the UK back in the 80’s - 90’s.I honestly think with a lick of paint and some updating in the rooms it could really be a lovely place. It is a busy motel which is awesome and a tweak here and there will put it up a notch ?

Exterior could do with an update but other than that all good.

Great central location, surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the state highway. Staff were friendly, the room was very clean and the bed was comfy.

A little outdated, the shower was tiny and the water pressure was iffy, the shower would go extremely hot or cold randomly. The TV didn't work.

The hotel is extremely run down the rooms were out dated and had no insulation you can hear everything around you traffic is loud and the other people you could here.

The receptionist was friendly. The room was clean and quiet. We had all the facilities we needed.

Great Bed, Great location, Basic Motel, suited us perfectly.

Better heater, going to get cold there soon. No bathroom heater.

I think guests waking up at 530 need to be considerate . Enjoyed the ability to have a hot drink and lovely fresh nicley made bed .
