Beautifully situated with an unobstructed ocean view. Comfortable & well equipped.

The property was lovely and the location was fantastic with the beach directly across the street The room was very clean ,well decorated with a very comfortable bed ! The kitchen was very good with everything you would need to cook your own food. The host was very helpful , and checked in that we had what we needed . The center of town was a lively short walk down the street.Would definitely stay here again .

The property overlooks the beach with great views.It is an easy beachside walk into the town.The studio apartment room we had was spacious,modern,well equipped and clean.The owners were exceptional hosts.

Ben (the owner) was awesome. Great location.

A bit noisy (it’s a busy road).

The room was very comfortable, the view great and the Sky channels available excellent. We were walking distance from the village. Our host was most friendly and gave very good advice. Just over the road was the wide beach backed by walking and cycling tracks, and grasses where dotterels hang out. Groups of terns nestle into the sand and oyster catchers are seen as well.

Being right on the corner of a main road thoroughfare at times it was quite noisy which was only apparent because we had the doors open on warm evenings. We could have shut the doors and had the fan on but we prefer the fresh air. That noise did not keep us awake however.The wifi was great for our phones and the tv, but not enough signal for my laptop.

We loved the location and balcony. The owners are great.

Great-sized, clean room with ocean view. Close to the restaurants. Beach is just over the road.

Located directly at the beach (although not in City-Center- it’s a ~2k Walk along the Beach)The Hotel offers Body boards, Spades etc. gor free for guests.

The whole facility is quite noisy: walls are extremely thin and you hear anything from the next room. The street is also very loud.

Great location! The rooms were full of amenities such as plates, dishes, and cutlery. Pot, pans, and skillets to be self sufficient for food. Lovely little place right along the beach.

No AC so was hot, but AC is not common it seems in NZ.

Spotlessly clean accommodation, super comfortable bed, large spacious room, lovely sea views, great location to the town. Friendly and very welcoming staff. 10 out of 10! We will stay again. Highly recommend

The property was very neat, clean, and well organised. It had a beautiful view right across from the beach.

Breakfast wasn’t included in our stay.The owner Ben, was so very accommodating. We had flown from Canada overnight arriving in Whitianga early morning. Ben quickly had the room made up, and while we were out moved all 6 pieces of our luggage in to the room and texted us when the room was ready. Outstanding.

Nothing could have been better for us.

Fabulous! Exceptionally clean. Thoughtful little touches made our stay perfect. Friendly hosts. Nice ambiance with fairy lights.

A great spot close to the beach. Parking is convenient. A short walk/drive to the town centre.

Very clean, comfortable rooms with great views across Buffalo Beach. A great place to base yourself on your adventures in the Coromandel Peninsula. Unfortunately we only stayed for one two nights, we would have loved to have stayed longer.

Bed in living area and separate bedroom with twin beds - maybe not suitable for groups who want privacy but suited us well
