The property itself is nicely maintained and well laid out. The bathroom was modern, but the rest of the room could be upgraded - the beds are very soft and bouncy.

We had to cut our stay short due to unforeseen weather - meaning the whole area was under a weather warning and we had to get home to our property ASAP - absolutely no negotiation would take place with the motel regarding a refund for our last night (we left by just after 10am so the room could be serviced and sold again if possible) however there was no one at reception so we left our key in the basket - only to be told they didn't know we had left.

the room was spacious. the pool was refreshing. The room service was great and most accommodating.

There was no compendium of the local shops and restaurants

Spacious clean rooms, good pool and spa was nice and hot, we booked for one night but stayed an extra week moved to the apartments with washing machine and dryer these were emaculate we were very impressed with the entire place, it’s also very close to everything.

Nothing the place was brilliant.

The swimming pool and spa were clean and well kept. Plenty of parking and wifi very good. Tidy rooms and kitchen well stocked. Would recommend short stay for 4 or 5 nights like us as you can walk to the shops.

Good location

No room service, even we put the sign outside. After we come back from Cape Reinga by 8, found out everything stayed the same and the sign somehow was left inside of the room. I’m so confused. And we texted to look for some clean towels, no reply.

Important to check motel’s own website before booking. We had an expensive upgrade to get the apartment we expected.

Initially we had an internet issue but the staff kindly solved this for us. As the property is a Lockwood, there were a lot of noises at night which is typical of the construction. The pool looked lovely although we didnt use it and the property is well positioned close to everything.

No milk in the fridge for tea and coffee - went out and bought milk

We loved the comfortable bed and very tidy and clean bedding. We enjoyed the space especislly the outdoor lrivate patio space. Comfortable for the price and location.

I didnt like that we were put in the very first unit next to the kffice when the property looked semi empty, kt made me feel very undervalued as a cistomer aswell as the batroom situation. In unit 1 the shower floor is ridiculous the water almost goes straight out the door.

Room, blackout curtains, bed, location, facilities.

Bathroom basin tap mixer seemed faulty.

The pool was the best part of our stay

Our kettle didn't work.The walls in the bathroom needed cleaning.There was a wasps nest in the brushstick on our patio.We had ants climb on us in bed on the 1st day.There was no sky TV.

The pool facility was great. Close to town. Requested an earlier check in and was able too 2 hrs earlier.

The price was over priced. There was no air con and I was shocked we were charged for extra towels when you have a pool & spa facility. 2pm check in was hard especially coming from Auckland but request was granted to check in earlier.

We only stayed one night and we dined in the town. The check in was faultless and the room was spotless so if we visit this area again we will definitely book in here again.

We loved our stay. The place is really well appointed. The hot tub and pool were a great addition. It is right in town so walking distance to everything

No complaints, it was really well run.

We arrived at 6.30pm and I would have liked to have used the pool but it closed at 7.00pm, which seemed a bit early in summer

The unit attached to our unit shared a wall. Unfortunately, and I don’t think this was the case for all the units, the wall they shared was their bathroom with the wall at the head of our bed. So every time they used the loo or ran the shower we had the noise of the water being supplied. Fortunately that unit was only occupied 1 in the 3 nights we were there.
