Awesome host . Great location & beautiful cottages & gardens

The cosy feel of the place was perfect. The owner also provided bread, cereal, milk and fruit for the breakfast. Beautiful spot.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts who were only a message away if needed, the cottage was very clean and the amenities worked perfectly. Lovely quiet little getaway in the mountains with a lovely view and peace and quiet. Couldn't recommend this stay more.

Location was good. Breakfast supplies ok but not great. Cottage was quirky, however improvements needed.

the steps going upto the loungeroom bedroom are dangerous especially at night. A banister should be placed so guests can hang on to it as going down the small steps are dangerous at night when you cannot see in the dark.Bed not a large double bed as stated in the add, it is just a normal double bed. Fly screens would keep bugs out of the cottage, none installed

Great location and comfortable

There was nothing we did not like -breakfast provided was underwhelming -sliced bread, boxed cereal and yoghurt tubs which wasn’t as described

The 2 story cottage was lovely, I loved the antique furnishings, enjoyed the huge corner spa & the open fire place made it the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway. Great location for hiking around the mountain. The host Brett was lovely & respected our privacy by leaving a key for entry. The fresh food was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend for a hills getaway. Thanks Michelle.

Nothing to dislike , everything was perfect.

We loved the ambience of the cottage and the beautiful setting. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay was provided including some welcoming chocolates.We lovèd the sunroom.There was a good variety of food for breakfast . Communication was very good..

There was a bit of traffic noise early in the night but didn't worry us too much.

This little cottage feels like a home away from home. It’s a beautiful place with such charm and vintage appreciation, and being nestled among the trees you really do feel a bit like your in a tree top in the living space. The fire by the foot of the bed is so nurturing and soothing. For all of these reasons I keep coming back.

The only thing I could say is that you can hear traffic obviously being on a main road, but definitely hasn’t deterred me from returning on many occasions!

Having breakfast items was such a lovely touch, we had a slow morning in the gorgeous little kitchen cooking and chatting about how much we absolutely loved Brett's como cottage. We played Scrabble in front of the open fire while it poured down rain outside. The experience was topped off with Brett showing us around the beautiful gardens as we were checking out. We will definitely be back. This place just might be a little slice of heaven

the cosmo accommodation was extremely pleasing to be in, the breakfast that was provided was amazing. the dedication the staff put into the place was very welcoming

the only issue was the bathroom door kept getting stuck

The privacy and the quiet. The beautiful gardens on the property. The open fire. The magnificent breakfast ingredients. Walking distance to Olinda shops and Mt.Dandenong shops. The birds to wake you in the morning.

I would definitely go back ,but to a bigger room with the spa, we booked the caretakers room which was very sml but still very clean. The owners were amazing they even provided a charger for us cause we had forgot. Very close to everywhere we went to like ,sky-high and local shops.

Just didn't like the handwash basin the tap was to close we could barely fit our hand .

It was really nice and cosy. Kitchenette was well stocked with all the required cutlery and crockery. Heated blankets and fireplace to keep us warm in the early spring. We spent the first evening staying in the cottage after checking in instead of heading out as we just loved how homely everything is. Some signs of aging but overall the family loves it.

The hot and cold water taps at the bathroom were separate. One was too hot and the other too cold.

Beautiful tiny cottage located 2 min walk from shops. Lovely place for a quite weekend away. We loved getting takeaway, sitting around the fire with the lights turned down, playing board games with a glass of wine.Beautiful front garden to sit it when not in the house.

Nothing to be done about it, as the house is an old cottage, but you need to be aware that the staircase leading up to the bathroom and second bed is very narrow and steep. Im 90kg and broad shouldered and found it tight. If you were not 100% comfortable with steep narrow stairs (eg elderly, bad joints, have trouble fitting into a std airplane chair...) this may not be for youI think the site could do with a spring clean.

Quirky accommodation in a beautiful area with a fireplace, spa bath (including bubble bath!) and a substantial breakfast.

The mattress was a bit hard

Nice cosy place,the owner helped with lighting the fire for me.

The fire,once the owner set it up,l just lit a couple of matches to it,it was beautiful but didn't last long only 25 minutes.

The little cottage was warm and inviting on my arrival even had nice jazz playing on the radio on my arrival. The facilities were great very homely and there was a great array of breakfast options provided. The staff were very pleasant a d helpful

Being a little cottage on a hillside the path up was a little dicey - i was lucky to have the cleaner there to help me with my bags. .If in a car no problem the road up leads to the cottage and there is a carport

Love the closeness to Olinda village while still feeling like I’m in the forest. It’s a short walk either way to Olinda village and the other part of Olinda. It’s very cosy with the wood fire and the owners are very generous with breakfast provisions. This is my second stay with Como Cottages and I’ll likely stay again in the future on my next trip to Melbourne.

The cottage itself was really cozy and welcoming , it was warm and comfortable, which made it perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location was amazing, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, yet still close enough to everything we needed.We also really appreciated the breakfast options available , they were delicious and added a special touch to our mornings. The space was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Overall, despite the small issue at check-in, we truly enjoyed our time here. With such a charming atmosphere and great amenities, we would definitely consider coming back!

We are two friends travelling together and booked the two-bedroom cottage, which was more expensive than the studio. At check-in, only one bedroom was available, and the other was locked. Brett promptly came and unlocked the second bedroom, but charged us an extra fee for it. I don’t think this was fair, as we had already booked (and paid for) the more expensive option to have both bedrooms available.Aside from this issue, the experience was really good. If it weren’t for that, the stay would have been perfect.

Nothing the place is so stuffy, don't waste your time going there, I couldn't spend five more minutes in the room i had to book onother hotel to spend the night
