Everything about this place is amazing. I don’t normally spend this kind of money on a resort, but I stayed two night at the resort and really enjoyed myself, they have cafes, camels, pools and falcons. It’s a sweet place to go for a couple days.

The Al Hadheera Restaurant was amazing! The rooms have been renovated and are very comfortable. The shower room is terrific with great water pressure, and the staff brough bar soap to me upon my request. I loved the swimming pools. We also ate snacks at the pool-side bar, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was terrific. I will definitely stay at the Bab Al Shams again!

Very beautiful place; nice design. I loved bathroom.

Staff is very annoying; crossing the boundaries asking personal questions while showing your room or helping with luggage. Very informal behavior that makes you feel super uncomfortable. Dirty glasses in swimming pool area. Generally swimming area can be nicer arranged. Sun umbrellas under Aperol brand are awful and ruined the entire idea of Middle East fairy tale. We didn’t like food in Ninive.

Friendly staff, a very clean hotel, and a beautiful interior design that takes us back to our culture and heritage.

    Expensive rate

Beautiful resort, great pool and friendly staff. A very different and peaceful resort compared to the hotels inside downtown Dubai.

The "show" at one of the restaurant was a bit of a let down.

    10JenniferPosted on: 11-15-2025

Absolutely fantastic! The grounds, the room, the included experiences and staff were superb.

    8luca84pPosted on: 11-2-2025

I believe it is recenlty renovated, cause rooms are brand new; very high quality amenities, amazing shower and one of the most comfortable bed I ever tried. Pool is spacious and on different levels, which mean you can always find free spot out of the crowd.

Paying more than 400 AED/person for a buffett dinner (drink excluded), I think it is out of line. Our room was not in great spot, too close to the pool and to where people goes, but that's ok.

Stunning resort which has been renovated beautifully in keeping with arabesque charm

    F&B options were expensive.

One of my favourite hotels world wide great service and great location. Staff is super friendly , alwasy ready to assist and smiling. Prices are okay in off season quite high for peak season .

    10BertPosted on: 10-6-2025

Absolutely privat and calm, with the attention needed to detail.

There is maybe the Zara Restauraunt where the service was not on the same level as the others. But that is comparing it to a very high bar.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bab Al Shams and would love to stay here again. The room was beautifully presented and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, polite and helpful. The onsite restaurants offered variety and good quality food. The pools were amazing and we thought the gym facility was excellent. We were able to have a late check-out of 4pm (at no additional cost) which made our day a lot more relaxing ahead of our evening flight.

    9JanePosted on: 9-21-2025

Breakfast was amazing. Staff are incredible. Bed was so comfortable and general atmosphere/vibes were so relaxing.

Drinks and food are quite pricey.

As always, Bab Al Shams delivered the experience for our family staycation. It happened to be my birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. I also indulged in a Balinese massage. Carol was amazing! I left feeling younger and taller, as well as more relaxed.

It's always sad leaving Bab Al Shams. This place has become my favourite little local getaway; the experience never disappoints. There was a system issue overnight which led to some billing issues, however the team sorted it out quickly and professionally - 10 star service.

Everything was amazing , from location , the villa Main swimming pool , indoor breakfast was great The staff were friendly and helpful

I wish I booked more then one night The menu was fine but I think it could improve With more different varieties, like more Arabic food and Mexican cuisine

Inspiring aesthetic, intriguing architecture and decoration, high quality and premium taste food, very attentive and kind staff, perfect location for zoning out and relaxing.

There were definitely some highlights during our stay:The breakfast variety and the staff at the main restaurant were excellent — warm, attentive, and efficient. The archery activity was also a fantastic surprise with a great vibe. A big thank you to the kind gentleman running it (I regret I didn’t catch your name) — you made that moment memorable!

I was truly looking forward to this stay, but several aspects fell short of expectations. There’s only one indoor restaurant, which feels limiting for a hotel of this level. Despite paying more and receiving an "upgrade," my room had no bathtub — a basic comfort I expected. Playing music in the room was needlessly complicated. The recent renovation stripped away the beautiful “1001 Nights” charm the hotel originally had. What was once a magical and unique atmosphere now feels generic and soulless — a real shame.Check-in was far from seamless. The lack of private desks meant everyone was lined up next to each other, and I struggled to hear the staff during the process.Prices for food and drinks around the pool are shockingly high. On top of that, the overall vibe has changed — I even saw men walking around in underwear instead of proper beachwear, which cheapened the ambiance further. It’s hard to believe this is the same place that once offered such a unique and elegant experience.

Room was spacious, clean and fully functional. They are also very well decorated.Pools were really big and kids definitely enjoyed the jacuzzi style part and the rain showers.Food overall was very good, although a bit pricey.Spa was unbelievable.
