Parndana Hotel Cabins

The bed and pillows were comfortable.

The room was really dirty as if it hadn¿t been cleaned in months. There were insects all over the shower that I had to get rid of myself. There were stains on the sofa. Stoves did not work properly. Main light in the room didn¿t work either.

The unit was spacious and modern, with kitchen facilities and having meals at the hotel was handy. It was a quiet location and quite private.

The bathroom was small and if you don't close its door you are in view of the passers-by, as it faces the unit sliding doors. Having $100 taken on a bond deposit was unexpected, even though it was returned a few days after leaving the premises.

There were lots of little black bugs in the kitchen and toilet, we tried to clean them out but more bugs kept coming back, they seem harmless so at last we just left them there.

Location

Bugs in the kitchen and bathroom. Staff came and cleaned up and they gave us a can of insect spray, which we used over the time we were there. The bugs never stopped!

Easy check in and out great little cabin friendly staff

Rooms were basic but clean and had all the facilities I needed. Sitting on the verandah after a day "touristing" was a bonus. Very relaxing, and listening to the birds was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals at the pub are first rate with generous serves and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Lighting around the units after dark could be improved. A bedside lamp would be a good addition.

Good meals, clean and basic accommodation. Publican was very friendly and helpful.

Quiet and central

Cabin bathroom needs improvement. Otherwise it was comfortable and nice.

This hotel has a great location, making it convenient to go anywhere. There are small shops nearby where you can eat and buy things. Although the facilities are a bit old, it has everything you need and is very clean overall. We like it.

It was the best position for our holiday. Very quiet and the food was great at the hotel but a little too much for our appetite.And we had a lovely native greeting from a koala in the tree next to our unit.when we arrived.Thank you for a great stay and your friendship.

Everything was perfect

Central on the island to do daytrips in all directions, all what we need was in the cabin incl. coocking stuff, AC, confortable beds, natur around us, close to food store

The death fly on my windowshutter in the big room, the big deat spider in the small room(under the bed), the light from the heater was not woking but the plate is working(savety problem), the floor could be more clean that it was, one pot in the citchen was really burned

Well equipped cabin. Town has small grocery store so can buy what you need to prepare your own meals. Or you can have dinner in the pub.There's a clothesline behind the cabin, very convenient

Quiet, lovely location under trees. Comfortable beds.

Having to use back door for access, front fly screen kept coming off. No milk in fridge.

Was bit skeptical when I was booking Parndana Hotel going with the reviews, location is the best. Heart of Kangaroo Island.Next to hotel they have a Cafe / Grocery Store, and they have there own Hotel. Food we had was good too, for the location we felt this place is really good. Old Cabins but they have maintained well, also saw 4 new cabins are ready I think they should be open soon. From outside we could see the new cabins are more upgraded.

Great location for exploring the island. Everything we needed in the town. Highlight was defo the mum and baby koala in the tree outside our cabin!!

A little dated.

Great central location for getting easily to North coast, south coast and west coast.

The tap in the bathroom was leaking all the time and the kitchen taps also.

Parndana is conveniently located right in the middle of the island. The cabin was an ok place to spend one night but would not be my choice for a longer stay. We just needed one night for 3 people to sleep prior to starting a hike that began at the Flinders chase information centre which is why we chose this location. Cabins are located a few hundred metres from the Parndana pub

The biggest issue was that the old, rusted air conditioner had not been removed when they installed a new one (which also looked quite old). The rusted air con was sitting in a hole in the wall through which we could see the great outdoors, and creatures from the great outdoors would be able to enter via said irusty hole. As a result we didn't sit on the couches directly below the rusty air con and hole, and treated that room with suspicion.They did have newer looking cabins but I'm not sure if they were there or were available when I booked quite a long time in advance.It did the job as a place to sleep for one night. If staying longer I'd probably be trying to cancel and move, maybe not to a different property but to a cabin that was at least insect and critter resistant. Maybe they're planning to knock them down and replace them which is why they left the rusted air con there.If staying with children don't plan on the top bunk being a safe place. The mattress was higher than the safety rail so there was nothing to stop a kid rolling off of the top bunk. We had an adult using that bed and because of that she dragged the mattress down and slept on the floor because she was worried she might roll off.To clarify, these were old cabins and there were others that looked more modern

Was very quiet and set in a lovely rural area. The double bed was comfortable. The split system air con is very effective. Dinner in the pub was quite good.

The unit is quite old and run down. Seems not cared for. The single bed was really uncomfortable. The two hot plates have seen better days,

friendly people. lovely town and good food shopping.

No wifi and poor tv reception.
