Ozone Hotel Kangaroo Island

Location was great. Hotel was quiet with a great ocean view from the room. WIFI would be a problem to connect to at times.

Very good location and a lovely staff…reception and waitstaff in particular. Bed was comfortable and the room was quite clean

The maid came in my room on day two even though I’d put out a sign asking her not to. The room while small could use a chair.

Staff assisted in changing our room. We had a room near pool that was dark and dismal. They moved us.

All okay when room was changed but was an extra $150 per night to change so ended up being $350 pn, wow.

Position excellent. Lovely views and close to restaurants and cafes. Easy parking and access.Heritage building much nicer than new building

Our rooms were next to each . The room and bathroom were spacious.

We were upstairs and there was no lift. This makes a difference when guests come from Europe and have a lot of luggage,

The 2 seater lounge was grotty, the bed moved around the room too easily and the pillows would fall down between the bed and the headboard and because the room wasn't cleaned properly, they got fluff and dust on them. we stayed for 4 days and weren't offered clean towels at any time. For what was described as a Deluxe room, other than the location and size, we found it no better that most rooms we have stayed in over the years for about 1/3 of the price

The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

The pillows were wafer thin and the bed was a zip king which had a clear indent in the middle of the bed.

Great location, very clean comfortable room. Bed was nice and big. Power points in great locations for charging phone. Coffee machine in room. Very friendly staff. Bathroom was very accessible for guests of all ages.

On street parking was hard when the hotel was busy. The upstairs rooms didn’t have a lift.

The room had a wonderful view of the bay. It was clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

Location is close to Kingscote main activities area

The exhaust fan in the room is extremely loud—more like a drilling noise when turned on—making it quite disruptive. Amenities are very basic, with only a kettle and a small bar fridge provided. The Wi-Fi is weak and unreliable, which added to the inconvenience. Aside from a cold pool, there's really nothing suited for families. They advertise a gaming room, but it's filled with gambling machines that are only for adults.The pillow was uncomfortable, and I woke up with a sore neck after just one night. The room itself is quite dark, with the only window facing a shared balcony that’s overlooked by neighboring guests, offering little to no privacy. Noise from adjacent rooms and the pool area carries easily, making it hard to relax.The carpet is very old and dated, and the room had an unpleasant smell. It was clear the hotel was aware of this, as they had placed an air diffuser inside. The shower also lacked proper water pressure and was difficult to adjust in terms of temperature. We assumed the price was decent given it was during the school holidays, so we initially accepted the room as-is.However, the most disappointing part came after checkout. Just a few hours later, I received multiple emails from the hotel claiming the carpet was wet and accusing us of causing a leak. They demanded compensation for replacing the carpet and for potential income loss. This accusation was completely unreasonable, especially considering the poor state of the carpet upon our arrival.

Loved the location and the room was very spacious. The restaurant attached is also really good! We had a sea view room which gave us pretty sunrises and seals playing in the water directly opposite.

A good location right on the bay. The room was modern and obviously renovated not long ago. Staff were helpful when asked.

Very expensive for the quality of the accommodation. We paid for an ocean view room, but the room looked out to cars parked across the view. To their credit, the staff moved us to an upstairs room after this was pointed out. Although the room is updated and nice, the section we were in is old and tired with worn and stained carpets. There is no lift to the upper rooms, however the staff did assist with the luggage. We weren’t told on arrival that a booking had to be made for the hotel restaurant and were turned away. This was one of only two places open for a meal in Kingscote that night - so make sure that you book. Overall a disappointing experience, as (for the price) we were expecting something a bit special. Would not recommend.

Lovely refurbished room with very high ceilings and modern bathroom. Very clean with nice amenities. Balcony doors open onto an old style large shared balcony with sea views. Very special.

Avoid room 31 as it is over the kitchen area and thumping music comes up through the floorboards. Had to make several requests to have it turned down. Was a known problem to the reception staff. Also the next room's TV is on the other side of the bedhead so you hear everything through the thin walls. Restaurant was dreadful.

Room was great, bed very comfortable. Everything was clean. The restaurant meals were fantastic. Great location.
