Fridge was noisey so turned it off... maybe a small microwave

Location was withing walking distance of the Lincoln Events Centre. Staff (Joshua) was fantastic on arrival. Very quite for a pub, had everything I needed. Excellent value for money

The beds were comfortable and the room warm. Bathroom was clean.

It's above a tavern and garden bar that doesn't stop until 1am. It was incredibly busy both nights and very loud.

Highly recommended. Very quiet even with live music and the rugby in the bar. extended our stay to three nights bc we were so comfortable. Meals are recommended and the staff treat you like a guest in their own home. Massive thank you Brooke and Noah ❤️

Loved the Hotel, Better than staying at my Mothers, It's a Better beer at the Grouse lol, Was there for 8 days, I had a car, but left in on the hotel carpark most of the time, Bus stop out side the hotel door, $4 into Christchurch Transit centre, From there you can get to anywhere.

Great quiz night, great food, good wifi, did think it was overpriced for the room, no fresh milk, nothing fancy

Convenient location for our purposes.

Some bar/music noise but it was a Saturday night so not completely unexpected and it was reasonably muffled.

The bed was comfortable.

We checked in but didn’t stay the night because the karaoke that started in the bar downstairs was horrendously noisy and prevented us getting to sleep. When we booked we were not warned about the noise. We did get a refund after phoning them a day later (they initially paid this to the wrong guest as they had put us in the wrong room.)

Forgot how noisey staying above a pub on a Friday night could be - that’s just me getting old though ?

No breakfast until 1000 and then only big breakfast options

Not the hotel's fault [I assume] but a fire evacuation at about 2100 didn't help.

Clean and comfortable - perfect for one night when we were attending a function at the hotel.

It has a great central location, easy to find with friendly helpful staff, and the roast dinners are legendary!

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location, was a bit worried about noise from the bar but the double glazing was great and the bar didn't stay open really late.

Us Wellingtonians found it quite hot overnight, fan was great but A/C would be nice.

Handy Location

The lighting in my room was poor. The two bedside lamps didnt work at all. The room lights were insufficient for night time reading. Staff appeared to be confused about how long I was staying, had trouble providing access to my room at the start, and somehow access was denied about half way through the stay. Difficult to find staff to help.

TV didn't work, very heavy bathroom door, light not working.

Every Thing, I Liked where the Grouse Hotel was (Lincoln, great little town, Bus stop right outside the door, jump on to Christchurch Central, from there you can get a bus to anywhere you want.

I had to Leave, when holiday finest.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable, and the shower was excellent.

The only minor issue was the need to carry bags some distance from the hotel carpark. However, there was a public carpark close to the entrance that could be used for the purpose.
