Nice place, remote from anything

It was remote from any place to eat. We had breakfast food, but otherwise we had to drive to a nearby town

It was average in appearance, a little cold. No rangehood in kitchen, with threat of surcharge if cooking smells remain. It was raining, which didn't help, but the park looked a little deserted. It's also a few km out of town, which I knew about. I found the price we paid a little high, I noticed the same room was advertised for almost $200 less a few days before our booked date, but after I had paid full price. .

Lovely room and separate bedroom. The bathroom was modern and clean and tidy. The staff were fabulous and helpful. The location is away from the main food and attractions but makes for a quiet night - the road is close but not busy at night. There was a great grassed area for some kids to play cricket.

The rooms are tired, ours was leaking at the door.. carpet was so old that we all felt a bit allergic after a day..

Milk provided free of charge daily.We stayed in a two bedroom unit and the size and space was great.Not too far to drive into the centre of Franz Josef.Quiet location.

The apartment facilities are complete. The kitchen facilities are good and convenient for our cooking during the 2 nights stay. The recliner and sofa set at the living area are comfy to sleep in.

The room's cleanliness can be improved.

Mildew in the bathroom and mold on the room curtains. The windows look out into the driveway where everyone can see you and the only curtains are black out curtains. Your only options are feeling like you are in a hole or in a fishbowl

Nice relatively new cottages, clean and comfortable: nice shower, large living room, good kitchen, comfortable large beds, good heating and excellent soundproofing.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in the cottage (nr. 2, across the reception, far from the main street, but close to the secondary street passing just behind), included on rainy days.Location is convenient, quiet with some mountain view and close to main attractions and towns, by car. Although near the main street, traffic is relatively little during the day and nil at night.

Cottages are pretty close one to another and privacy is basically inexistent, as one is in a vitrine for everybody.For the price paid, they could supply some more basic things e.g. salt for cooking, paper towel, etc.

The place looks amazing, beautiful little houses, big enough with bedroom and living room. Bathroom a bit small. Easy check. 3 km from the center but wonderful place.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The property is located in a very quiet area, just a few kilometers from town, making it both convenient and relaxing. Our stay was very comfortable, and we appreciated the calm atmosphere.

We loved the location and the amount of space we had. The kitchen was great and well equipped. The couch was super cozy. I enjoyed relaxing after a long day.

The main bed was a little hard for me.

Two bedrooms, lounge room area, great kitchen facilities, bathroom good size.Little drive to town, great if you have your own transport.

Nothing was great.

The room was clean and comfortable, the view was OK but I was expecting, or hoping, for more of a mountain view than a field. The evening cleared up and we got an AMAZING view of the milky way!

The shower had the worse set up than I've experienced the whole 3 week trip in NZ. Once I could get in the shower and got the door mostly closed it was great. I found out after the shower it wasn't closed completely and the floor was soaked. There wasn't a handle on the inside of the door to close it.

Location was on our way.

Night we got in no problems with room or utilities, but morning we planned to leave early power was on, but not the water heater, room heater or toaster. When I went to inquire at the managers cabin they would not answer door. Had to practically knock door in with level of knocking and only after quite a while.When they finally came out the same manager from previous night said he had no idea what problem could be, and eventually offered to let us use another unit to shower but that was impractical and we had to leave anyway.I contacted them later to inquire about problem, and they ignored my question and answered with a form email saying the trusted we had a good stay and hoped we would return. After another email informing them that it was not acceptable to simply ignore a problem like no heat or hot water, the stated that there are fuse boxes in the rooms and it’s the guests responsibility to check and report problems. There is more, but that should give you enough explanation as to the reason for my poor review.

You need to use bathroom sink for the kettle.

Modern and clean, in the country.

Bed hard, new pillows are overdue. Has a microwave but not setup for food preparation eg no sink. Away from town and restaurants, so it’s always a drive to do anything.

This was a lovely spot to stay out of main town, 5 min drive in. Cabin was small, but thats all we needed, bed was super comfortable although bathroom was small shower not bad size. Seperate lounge with comfy 2. 5 seater and small dining table. Coffee/tea making facilities with small fridge/microwave. Lovely to see mist low on ground in morning and stars at night. Parking at door. Good deal. Was perfect for base camp. Lovely quite spot.

The location is good and the rooms were spacious

The property is dated and looks like it needed a face lift years ago. Our room wasn’t ready at the check in time and the bed was very hard. I wouldn’t stay again
