we were the last check-in of the evening and they did not have the unit we reserved (king bed). got unit 11, which had extremely loud creaking sound coming from roof structure overnight with every bit of wind.

We loved our 2 rooms at GlenFern. The view was incredible of the glacier right outside of our room.

New clean soacious villa. Friendly staffs. Commin laundromat available. Great views from backyard.

Spacious, comfy bed, pretty location

Outdoor furniture was filthy, unusable. Felt like I was nickle and dimed especially for the cost. Skimpy toiletries Some road noise if you are in a villa close to the road.

The perfect place to view the mountains! Quiet, spacious, clean and close to the trailhead. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook in. Loved waking to the view of the glacier.

Great location just outside Franz Josef and exceptionally nice front desk staff when we checked in! (Nov 23 around 4pm).

No heating in the bathroom and no plug for the hairdryer in the bathroom, which just unnecessarily made getting ready less comfortable, but otherwise a good and clean place and good value. WiFi was pretty weak in the evening but useable for basic things.

The positive side: The location is fantastic—convenient and close to everything I needed. The space itself is also quite nice, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind.The negative side was the WiFi. It was incredibly slow, unreliable, and at times felt completely unusable. The connection kept dropping, making it frustrating to do even the simplest tasks online.

Excellent property with kitchen, superb living area and outdoor space for sitting and BBQ. Separate bedroom and en suit bathroom. Beautifully kept, clean and everything to the highest standard. Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Only sorry it was pouring with rain and couldn't make use of the outdoor area.

The sofa bed was like sleeping on a rock with the bars cutting into my backyard no power point in the bathroom

Glenfern Villas provided an excellent base for our stay in Franz Josef, despite being located slightly outside the main centre.We were warmly met by a friendly receptionist, and this team continued to be very helpful to us throughout our stay.We had a two-bedroom villa, with the most amazing view overlooking the Franz Josef Glacier. We loved the glass of wine at the little terrace, and the indoor seating area later at night.We found the villa very clean and very comfortable, it had all what we needed for our two-night stay. In hindsight, and as there is so much to do in this area, we wish had stayed a few more days here ....

Beautiful Villas set in a beautiful area! The highland cows and sheep make the best touch they’re all so friendly! Lovely receptionist! And very clean ✨

I think the only thing that would make this stay better is if there was some sort of hireable spa that overlooked that beautiful view!

Everything you needed was there. The studio was spacious, the kitchen well and the bed comfortable.

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Beds were extremely comfortable as well as the shower. Nice clean and roomy space. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to Glacier walks, clean, spacious and comfortable.

Large bed upstairs away from bathroom so slept in small bed downstairs.

Plenty of space for a small family or family with younger kids. Easy parking. Not far from town.

Not in the middle of town so need to drive there and back. Laundry facilities are available but not in each unit.
