Great location and owner is very friendly and helpful.

The room was small and cramped and should not have two beds in it. No table to eat at. Parking very tight. Outdoor furniture totally exposed to weather and rusted.

It was clean and everything worked. It was an ordinary hotel in terms of the room styling and decor. But my guess is it was typical of most of what is available in Franz Joseph. We liked the staff very much.

Very centrally located. Easy to find. The decor is a bit dated, but very functional and comfortable. The young man on the front desk is exceptionally kind and helpful

The receptionist/manager was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. She even suggested a canopy for the motorcycle and helped me to park it up. Sorry I had to leave early...my daughter in law went into labour.

Good location, near town centre. Very cosy and warm and price was reasonable.

The view from our room was out of this world. Hearing the Kiwis in the evening was such a buzz. You really feel emersed in the wilderness.

Nothing, was the perfect stay as a base for exploring the glaciers.

The Bella Vista chain has a very strange architectural design where the passageways go past other rooms with windows - thus no privacy at all unless the blinds are completely closed

The shower was excellent! The fridge was great - a very good size for those who take more with them. The bed was comfy. Room was very clean. Location of the motel is very close to the centre of Franz Josef township, so an easy walk to everything.

The room was quite small & a little cramped with a chair next to the bed and only one bedside table. Toilet paper could be better.

The room is on the small side + their daily reset is very basic (just a peeve, I really dislike seeing my own hair on the floor)

The motel had everything we needed for our one-night stay. The staff at reception were very friendly and gave us some very good tips and ideas about what to do in the area. He was very helpful
