Not at all.i suffer severe pain and i requested a disabled unit if availiable and i was not let down. Roomy clean and the bathroom was amazing.

Good value for basic cheaper stay. Everything was nice and clean. Free washer next door. Dryer only $3 load. Nice and accessible. Close to new shopping area. Lovely couple managing this motel. They were friendly and kind. Knowledgeable recommendations given for the area and Island.

No signage to find this facility. Our GPS brought us to an empty lot at the front of highway. After 3 trips around the block, we noticed a poster sign on ground which names Wayside motel suggesting it was down an alley type entrance behind the empty lot. Obviously owner of facility is not interested in investing any upgrades.a simple sign would be a start. NO working swimming pool on sight, yet it remains on all websites falsely advertising pool as a benefit. Our bedding was weathered and torn.

Quiet well equipped unit at the back. Helpful and accommodating owner. Handy location to shops and beach. Good stopover place for travelling north or south.

Nice and clean spacious studio with an outdoor area. Having the swimming pool was a nice addition. Staff were very friendly and helpful, checking in the see if I needed anything during my stay.

Our unit was lovely and comfortable. Great parking and such a lovely man in the office. Nice and quiet back section. Location was excellent so close to restaurants and takeaways. Great place to stay

Very clean and handy motel with pool. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a very private pool to swim in.

probably the cleanest motel we’ve ever stayed in, nothing to fault, owner was so lovely and friendly. would deffo stay again :)

Location good, friendly reception, shops nearby

Location was great, facilities were very clean and fresh. Staff were helpful and friendly definately will stay again.

Both the room and the bathroom were huge, plenty of space, bed comfy. We took the room with disability access as it was the only room available when we booked but all the rooms looked the same size from the outside, May need to check though. Private outside seating area if weather permits. We didn’t use the jacuzzi bath as we prefer a shower but it looked fun! The shower was the best we’ve had since we arrived in NZ 2 weeks ago. Mike was great, very welcoming and helpful.Convenient stopping point on our route with a couple of eating options close by.

Would recommend this place ..the owner was so welcoming and professional Incredibly clean room beautiful bathroom and spa bath with lovely hot water
