Pros +
- Really lovely self contained chalets on the hill outside Hanmer Springs. A short walk into town (but uphill on the way back after dinner!) Andrew was lovely greeting us on arrival and really helpful with recommendations of places to eat in town. The laundry onsite was also excellent, each chalet has an outdoor clothesline which is great. Easy access and easy parking, quiet and beautiful views as you're up quite high.
- The chalet was spotless, and exceptionally presented. The staff were accommodating to our needs and didn't bat an eyelid when I realised I hadn't booked enough beds, just instantly offered a solution and actioned straight away. Very cozy warm, which was great for our baby who'd caught a cold. The showers were great also, consistent water temperature and pressure. I recommend this accommodation.
- Larger than expectedseparate bedroomgood kitchenComfortable bedPrivate location away from main road but walking distance to everything.
Cons -
- The second bedroom for our 2 teens felt a bit cramped, but as we only stayed 2 nights it was completely acceptable. It would feel maybe too small if you stayed much longer, but there is also plenty of common area and outdoors to escape into.
- Heating in bedroom barely adequatewater pooling between car and front doot - it was raining.
- Bathroom was poorly lit. Light about the mirror didn't work. Hard to see to shave and for my wife to put on makeup

The property had everything we needed. Was very clean, confortable, spectacular views. The property manager was very friendly and caring.
Quietness and privacy
Bathroom was poorly lit. Light about the mirror didn't work. Hard to see to shave and for my wife to put on makeup
Exceptionally clean and quiet location for a good price.
Some better tea and coffee options would be good.
Everything. It had a well equipped kitchen. Good location sunny and private. Luved the spa bath.
This is the second year we've stayed at the Chalets Motel. We love that each unit is a separate cabin and not a block motel. Its clean and tidy, very comfortable bed, friendly host, and only a short walk to the village and pools.
Nothing really. It ticks all our boxes
Location close to town. So perfect. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. The chalets were absolutely lovely.
Always clean, comfortable and in a great location.

A little dated but still in great condition and you can tell it’s well maintained.
Great location - Excellent chalets (we had two) - comfortable and warm - very helpful staff.
