Settlers Boutique Motel

Room was thoughtfully designed, nicely decorated and well maintained. Proprietors were friendly and welcoming. Overall, the property was a very pleasant place to be.

Good wifi, high-end furnishings comfortably arranged, free laundry facility w/powder, complimentary milk daily, friendly & efficient staff & housekeeping, beautiful view w/balconies upstairs, umbrellas & DVD movies provided, quiet motel.

Mattress sunken in a bit, paper towels would be helpful.

Very friendly staff. Clean room and very convenient for doing things. Very reasonable price.

A good spa bath is the best extra for a special occasion.

Next time I will book directly if I ever find myself wanting to go to Hanmer again.

High quality stay with lovely en-suite jetted tub, nice little cooking area, and lovely views. We appreciated the hosts and the ability to do some laundry, as well as access to the hot springs complex nearby.

Everything was nice about it.

We made the reservation on the spur of the moment and were terrifically pleased. We booked an apartment, not just a room and were very happy. Plenty of room to spread out. The furniture in the living room was amazingly comfortable, especially for bach or motel furniture. Very quiet (1/2 block of the main road) yet within a block of the pools and stores. Reserved parking spot for each room and easy to get into and out of the spots. The hosts were fabulous - recommended a couple of restaurants and we were happy with recommendations. The small kitchen was perfectly adequate for breakfasts even without an oven. Would definitely return.

Liked the location and feel of the property. The room itself was cozy, clean and very well stocked. Had everything we needed for a holiday to feel like we were at home.

Space was a little smaller than the picture seemed but it was beautiful

Sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss when booking a room online, however everything about this boutique motel was above and beyond, there were daily towels available especially for going to the Springs, I also loved that it was within walking distance to the Hot springs, shops and resturants.

The rooms were beautiful. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. Very clean and cozy. The beds were really comfy. Loved the balcony. Would love to go back in the winter the view would be spectatular.Parking was easy. Added bonus of the use of washing machine and dryer for no extra charge. Owners were really friendly and helpful. Location was really close to shops/cafes etc.

Nice clean warm room and a very comfortable bed

The room was exceptionally clean, bed super comfy. We had cooking facilities in our room - everything you needed to cook was provided right down to fresh milk for your coffee. They have a cat - Willow, loves a belly rub!

If you are staying in an upstairs room in summer, there is no shade on the balconies and it gets very hot.

The owners were lovely. Bed was super comfortable and towels for the hot pools were great too
