We did not have breakfast as we carried our own, staff very good with any enquiries.Room very comfortable

The lounge was situated in the wrong position, if you wanted to watch the TV you had to sit on the bed.

Great location. Nice decor. Great bar & restaurant within walking distance.

Upstairs room had been allocated to a family with children. They were thumping & banging around all night.

Location and large rooms. Close to nearby pub.

Location was on edge of town, very quiet, Room was ready at 2pm even though they were very busy it wasn't a problem with check in. Hotel next door was great for a wee night cap

The room was very clean with a nice, comfy bed. The staff refreshed our room every day and even did our dishes, which I was NOT expecting. It felt very above and beyond to me. I was out of cell phone service most of the day we were meant to arrive and missed the notification for late check-in instructions. Luckily, they were very responsive and accommodating through the Booking.com messaging, even though it was an hour after reception had closed!

The accommodation was literally at the gateway of Hanmer Springs, just a short drive or walk to the pools. Views of the mountains and valley were excellent. The unit was large and the bathroom was exceptional. The bonus was the small porch with garden views. The staff was very helpful, and happily provided extra milk for our daughter and towels for using in the pools.

The main drawback was, there was no was you can cook, except for warming food, using the microwave. The water pressure was a bit too much. Though the staff was friendly, the reception opening hours were limited.

Comfortable bed, spacious, easy walk to shops & cafes.

Close to town, but not in busy area, beautiful views, excellent bar and restaurant.

I got stuck here during a wind storm -- power and cell service were out and the only access road got closed due to fallen trees. Emma let me stay an extra night for free, came to check in on me several times, and even brought over some food. Really a great help!

Lovely spacious room with a nice view of the mountains. Friendly and helpful staff and an added bonus of towels to take to the pools.

Bathroom window even though glass frosted, busy walkway directly outside bathroom could do with more privacy than just frosted glass.

The newly renovated motel is lovely. We stayed in an enormous 1 bedroom apartment. Very comfy beds, massive bathroom and plenty of room for a family of four.

While the microwave is appreciated, it might be helpful to provide additional cooking facilities to offer guests more flexibility in meal preparation.

Have stayed here many times over the years, our last visit was under new ownership and they certainly have spruced the place up a lot, only downside for us was that they have removed room service but the restaurant is still running, and still as good as it always has been

No complaints from us, room was spacious and comfortable

The location of the Gateway is within walking distance to the Hot Pools and all the restaurants. The room we had was large and when we arrived the heatpump had already been put on so it was lovely and warm. The staff were welcoming and went out of there way to make sure your stay was comfortable. Would highly recommend staying there and we will certainly be back again.

This hotel is closed, we had no accommodation as Hanmer was booked and no notification from the hotel or Booking.com. Remove from your site.

This accommodation went under 1 month before my booking. Not a word from booking.com or anyone else and a holiday weekend to boot. Disgusted is the only word I have.

Team - this place has closed down and I did not get any notification so turned up and had nowhere to stay and the money i paid has not been returned - so a terrible experience!!
