The St James is a stunning hotel to stay. Room was absolutely beautiful with the most amazing views. The layout of the room and the cleanliness was outstanding.... first class! Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we can't wait to return to Hanmer Springs to explore the area more. Will definitely stay at the St James again.

Close to everything. Spotless room. When they say premium accomodation, it was. Everything was high quality, everything worked, quiet and comfortable. Lovely lady greeted us and gave recommendations.

The St James was clean, warm and comfortable. The location was excellent, in walking distance to restaurants, pools, walking tracks ect. Staff were so friendly and the service was excellent.

Everything, the manager and cleaning staff were very friendly and made a point of talking to us and asking about our stay

I have stay here before and came back as I loved the room we had and I thought for the price, we paid I was getting the same room with a bath and lounge, but I was wrong just a normal room so was a little disappoint as we were staying for three nights and a lounge would have been great. My fault, but not sure if I would have paid that price per night if i had of known, we were there for a family wedding and the rest of the family had hired holiday houses which were just as coinvent and beautiful for about the same price.

We were welcomed immediately by Sharon, the manager, and she also helped us carry our luggage upstairs. Because we are elderly she asked if there was anything we needed to make things easier for us, eg. a downstairs apartment rather than upstairs. We loved the view from upstairs. We offered to fix a squeaky door hinge but a handyman came and fixed it the moment we mentioned it. Sharon was full of ideas and suggestions for meals and activities. They all worked out well.

Everything was pleasant, appropriate and welcoming.

Staff very friendly and accomodating. Close to the town centre and the springs. Beautiful setting to relax after a long day on the road. Would definitely recommend it.

It was honestly perfect. Ideal location, room had everything we needed and the new manger working the front desk was absolutely lovely. Highly recommend!

Lovely clean accomodation, beautiful view, great location nice and central within walking distance to everything. We were given towels to use for the pool also which was lovely.The lady on reception was very helpful and friendly :)

Clean and tidy

Booked for an apartment with spa, $397. Booking confirmed. On arrival, staff advised they had already filled the room. There was no explanation for this provided. No refund available but they offered the mobility access room (smaller, no spa facilites) instead. Usually this room costs $250 a night but they charged us $360. Unfortunately this was a challenging place to deal with and seemed poorly organised.

Room fresh and clean, bet comfortable which is essential for us. Central location .

Building in progress but didn’t worry us. Not loud. Across the road. Balconies lovely but looking onto car parks , mountains in the background.

Very quiet and only one street back from the action. Loved the colours used in the room. Felt very lux and a nice change from white rooms. Easy parking off street.

Can’t fault the property. We were even given towels for the hot pools.
