The view is magnificent

For older people the furniture is very hard to get out of. We have stayed there previously and this time things were looking a bit tried, needs a bit of a freshening up.

No nearby breakfast or dinner . Plenty of facilities to do your own

Very relaxing, great view, had everything we needed. Tamar ridge winery had amazing wines and 100m from our doorstep!

The road below is a bit noisy during the day.

We always include a stay at Armalong any time we find ourselves near Launceston - although a short distance from the town centre, the fantastic views from the rooms, the homely conveniences and importantly the great value for money make staying there a must-do.We would highly recommend including this on your short list of accommodation considerations when visiting Launceston or surrounds.

Our room on this occassion showed some signs of wear, however, speaking to staff when leaving we were advised that the room is about to undergo a makeover, so this will addressed very soon.

Very scenic location, out of town but close to locations to visit.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable with extras like a very large comfortable bed, washing machine, large bath with a view, full kitchen, coffee maker and BBQ on the balcony that made it excellent value for money compared to other accommodation in the area. Communication from the owner after booking was immediate and I felt we could contact her if we needed anything. Despite a main road nearby we had the windows closed for sleeping and I found it to be a very quiet location. Convenient to have a winery cellar door a 2 min walk away too!

We liked everything. The apartment gets a lot of light in the morning through the large windows, which was not a problem for us (and the windows are amazing to enjoy the lovely view) but I would encourage guests who would like to sleep in late to pack their own eye mask/sleep mask.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Armalong Winery Chalets in Tasmania’s stunning Tamar Valley! The chalets are a perfect blend of modern comfort and serene beauty, nestled among vineyards with breathtaking views of the Tamar River. Our apartment was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed—full kitchen, cozy bedding, and a luxurious bathroom. Waking up to the sunrise over the valley from the private balcony was pure magic.The location is ideal, just a short drive from Launceston, with easy access to local wineries and attractions like Brady’s Lookout. The on-site cellar door at Tamar Ridge was a highlight, offering delightful wine tastings and a chance to savor the region’s best. The staff were warm and responsive, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to departure. Armalong Winery Chalets deliver an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

The view was amazing!!! Helen gave us a very clear instructions beforehand and it was easy to access the apartment. We accidentally locked us out of one apartment but it was immediately resolved.

It was a pity that there was no dishwasher. Everything else was perfect.

It was home away from home with beautiful views. Comfortable bed and spacious apartment. Size of shower was great with a view from the loo ?

Road noise when sitting outside

Property was close to Launceston but seemed like it was in a semi-rural area, so it was very relaxing and convenient.

Great location with wonderful views over vineyards and farmland to the Tamar River in the distance. Also, very private. Close walking distance to Tamar Winery. We just wandered up the road for a bottle of wine after arrival.

No faults at all.

The property is in a perfect location, quiet and close to other facilities. The apartment was spotless with many more amenities than published.

No breakfast. Some UHT milk for tea/coffee would have been good.

There was some traffic noise from the highway, however that was reduced when the windows & blinds were closed.

The wow factor to this property was the view as you came in the door. Large picture windows with a view over vineyards and river was amazing. Outside space with the same view.The property had everything needed for a self catering stay.Comfortable bed and good shower.

The unit was remarkable, as was the view.The little things such as shampoo, etc, as well as the crockery were extraordinary. In other facilities these are very cheap and basic, but not at Armalong.

The parking scared me.

It’s a lovely apartment with beautiful views and everything you need for a stay, including condiments in the kitchen etc.

It’s a good base for exploring the area, but you need a car. There’s no shops etc in walking distance.

Great location and comfortable accomodation. Easy check in and out. Enjoyed the view over the vineyard to the river and valley. Very convenient to be close to the cellar door. ?

Heat lamps in bathroom not working and not good for anyone scared of heights as windows are right down to floor level. No landlines. T.V. Difficult to operate as needs update
