Central Gateway Motel

It is a clean place & freindly staff. Proximity to both Queenstown and Wanaka makes it an ideal location. There is a lake very near to it and there are some activity options for people who likes to avoid crowds.

The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious with good lighting, and the separate kitchenette was a great feature. Sky TV had plenty of viewing options, and the overall stay was very comfortable.

The separate bathroom can get quite cold in colder weather, so I’d recommend bringing house shoes. The shower had low water pressure, and the curtain tended to cling while showering, which was a bit uncomfortable. Also, there were no power sockets on both bedsides, which can be inconvenient if you prefer charging your devices close by, like I do.

Location was okay, I liked that it was do close to historical Cromwell, the Vic and to cafes.

Just a bit small for us, but we knew that .I didn't like having to reverse the car up a hill, everytime we wanted to go out.

For what I wanted I couldn't fault it, nice short walk to the Old Precinct and little pub on the corner. Room was very comfy with a massive bed, great nights sleep, quiet location

We stayed in the Cabana and it was lovely and private and very clean. Would stay again.

Privacy and so green

From our first welcome, this was a great place to stay. While older in style, it was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and included lovely little touches. Easy walk to historic Cromwell.

Great location with fantastic views of the surrounding landscape (upstairs unit). Sunny, very spacious with a super comfortable bed.

Great apartment with lovely Management and staff. Such comfortable beds and great views.

Location was excellent for the Heritage Precinct. Plenty of space and the sunshades worked well in keeping the place cool.

Great location and spacious room! Kitchen was wonderful and well stocked! We appreciate being able to prepare our own food and had lots of room in the frigerator for all our cold stuff!

Laundry was out of service. This was a big bummer as we had planned on washing some of our clothes over our 2 night stay.

Very clean and well equipped. Nice and quiet, close to Heritage Cromwell area.

Location was good and rooms were clean and tidy. Bed was ok, location was quiet except for Saturday night

Everything was adequate but not great… Toilet paper, washing liquid etc were really basic… and instead of instructions for how to turn on the hot plates (Opposite wall of the kitchen) or helpful suggestions in the booklet, there were lots of rules… under “cooking” there were threats to charge an extra cleaning fee if curry or seafood were cooked. It just felt unfriendly, sorry!

We were out until the evening and it was lovely to come back to lights and heat pump turned on.

We had the very private very cute separate little cabana. It is detached from the other units so no activity outside our door. Our bubbly host had the heater on for us on arrival. Easy walking distance to the Heritage Precinct which is very interesting.

Warm room with good heating, comfy bed.

Room was smaller than average, and I travel around the whole of NZ a lot for work. Other than that it was good.

Very friendly and relaxed and the room was spotless. Nice location right by the water, away from the main road. The pub nearby has reasonably priced meals and a nice atmosphere.
