    Pros +

    • I liked that it was so down to earth and just really cool. The staff is what made it for me. From check in to check out. I liked that it was contactless. I love the fire in the center. I loved the Municipal Wine IN THE PARKING LOT!
    • Very cute surroundings and grounds. Nice folks who work there.
    • Location is good if you are visiting Los Alamos. Quiet. Has a Koi pond and fountain.

    Cons -

    • While everything was neat and tidy, the bathroom fixtures were a bit rough. I'm a bit of a neat freak.
    • Once evening fell there was a sewage smell in room 10 (did not go into other rooms). Room could have benefitted from another mirror. Door was hard to open and close and faucet was loose, but otherwise a cute room. Excellent beds.
    • Extremely poorly lit room; only the bathroom had good lighting. Bare plywood floor is not rustic; it is unfinished. No air circulation; needs a fan or something in either the back of unit or the bathroom. Would recommend others stay elsewhere.

This is an older property so there are some minor maintenance issues. The bathroom sink smelled when water was first run and the hot water takes a long time to come up to temp. But overall a great experience and these are very small nit picks.

Great location in Los Alamos. The MW Tasting room is a plus, hope they can keep it open.Despite my complaints below we are planning a large group tour in 2016. If JP can get all the rooms reconditioned.

Pretty shabby for $140. No hot water, carpet tacks stuck out cutting feet. No coffee, even Motel 6 has coffee. Toilet paper holder was broken from the wall. Mentioned the water and TP problem at checkout and was told I "too bad"

It is in a great location and had a cool vintage vibe. Walking distance to the entire town and all the great places to eat and drink.

They played loud music that could be heard from every room at the motel, from the time we checked in at 4:00 pm until 10:00 o'clock at night on a Sunday. The shower curtain was very moldy.
