Clean, friendly staff, 5 minutes from the beach

Yes, my wife had a medical emergency that made it impossible to travel any further south on I-5 ( traveled from Kelso, WA to Yreka). My wife suffers from COPD and had a serious attack that night. At 4:00 AM we decided it would be too risky and headed home

Had a peek of ocean.

Very noisy guests, probably family. Lots of street noise. Vacuuming at 6:30am next door. No parking. Stairs noisy.

We were freezing one the 1st night, there was no heater in the room, I saw a bug in the bathroom, & we called for some clothes left in the drawer, but we have not recovered it, either they don't check the drawers, or they are not willing to return/send.

Bedding was old, pilling, mattress was HARD, maybe 10" thick, fitted mattress kept coming off. An artificial fingernail was on the nightstand. Parking spaces were all marked "Compact"-the huge SUVS made the lot even more cramped.

Dirty, ants in bathroom, exterior door meeting outside sidewalk had 1/2 in gap open.

Staff did not give us room options or let us know which rooms were better. First room provided upon check in was backed up to a cement wall view from window however the same priced room upstairs was a world of difference and much better room.

The location was good, the price was right.

Very dirty and old. Furniture is falling apart. Wallpaper peeling off of the wall. Carpets very dirty.

The peaceful mornings birds chirping/ water sound outside The man of the wife ( owners ) was happy and helpful The woman 1/2 of 10 HE was 10/10

Friendly staff during times of crisis. Offered rolls for breakfast instead of full breakfast. I understand, no staff to make it. Otherwise, great stay and will return.

No full breakfast because of Coronavirus. Nobody's fault.

The proximity to Ocean Ave made it ideal for walking.

We rented a second room when we arrived. The Television in our room did not work. They attempted to fix it and could not. The second room, the toilet would not flush properly and the shower did not drain. It was a poor experience.

Good location, short walk to Ocean Ave. and there's a nice restaurant across the property. Peaceful and quiet night stay.

Our room was next to the tiny breakfast room, we started hearing the microwave, people going in & out and kids noises at 7:30am. Nothing can be seen from the window but wall, we checked-in at exactly 3:00.

Mattress was broken down. No air conditioning. Breakfast included consisted of toast & packaged pastries. Drab decor in room

You could not pay me to stay in that dump again.

The bed seemed like it was about 50 years old. Coils dig into our backs. Carpet was dirty. Wallpaper was falling off. White towels have turned a dirty ashy grey from overuse. Everything was ancient and not in the charming way.

Perfect location- situated right by downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea. Walking distance to all the downtown shops, restaurants, and the beach.

The rooms was dated but it was still clean and comfortable. The only window faced a wall about 2 feet away so there was zero view- not even of a parking lot.

Located close to town

Yes, sofa in the living room was a day bed and to comfortable for watching TV. No coffee table or end table for your daring or book. Mediocre breakfast at best.
